GUIDELINES FOR BEST INTERVIEW PERFORMANCE Self Introspection: Question your qualification; fitness, related to the position Knowledge about the Employer and Institution: Institutions Goals Administrative structure - Product or type of service the inst. Expects - Knowing relevant details related to the position you seek - Training any thing required to the post
INTERVIEWERS EXPECTATIONS
Knowledge of and interest in the employer: Genuine interest on the organisation/Inst. Personality: Confidence, Friendliness, Enthusiasm, Assertiveness Career Goals: Have specific areas of interest in mind
WHO ARE REJECTED BY THE COMMITTEES? Lack of knowledge about the Inst. No Career Direction No Enthusiasm; Short Answers; Yes/No Colourless voice Vague Answers: Irrelevant answers to the questions; Very Fidgety: Little eye contact; Nervous mannerism, such as playing with hair; Nail biting; rubbing hands; uttering the names of the VVIPs/. Know it all attitude: Lack of Sincerity, make superficial remarks to impress the Interviewer.
