JANUARY 2014

Financial Planning for the New Year You're probably careful with your money. But if you're like most people, you may not be aware of the best ways to save, budget and plan for your financial future. Fortunately, each service has a Personal Financial Management program that can help you keep your finances in good shape, save for the future, improve your credit and resolve financial problems. Although financial planning services can be very expensive in the civilian world, the financial services offered at Fleet & Family Support Centers, are available at no cost to service members and their families. Although they vary by service branch, PFM programs include classes, seminars, oneon-one counseling and additional information to educate service members and their families about consumer rights and help them achieve financial stability. Our Financial Counselors stand by to provide service members and their families classes, seminars and briefings about a variety of different topics. If you cant come to us, we can come to you. Please contact one of our Financial Advisors today to start your successful financial journey. FFSC Main Directory: 817-782-5287 Financial Counselors: Ora Millard and Alix Washington

People sometimes encounter difficult situations or crises in their lives and often benefit from the professional counseling services that are available at their Fleet & Family Support Center (FFSC). Counseling contributes to personal readiness by providing the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills that can reduce stress in the workplace or in personal relationships. Long deployments, frequent moves, and mission readiness demands impose many stresses on military families, often leading to marital and parent child conflict. Concern for the welfare of Navy families and the effects of family violence on military performance prompted the establishment of the Family Advocacy Program. The Fleet & Family Support Program (FFSP) offers prevention, identification, treatment and follow-up. All efforts are geared toward victim safety and protection, offender accountability and rehabilitation.

Services include: Individual, Marriage and Family Counseling Child Counseling Therapeutic Group Counseling Education and Training Programs Deployment Support - including specialized Individual Augmentee (IA) services Customized Command Briefs Prevention and Awareness Education Clinical Counseling Resources Family Victim Advocate (FVA) Services Intervention, Treatment and Case Management
