Paid registrants will receive a flip the course learning packet prior to the course. The 2nd annual MeduBrawl an educational debate between Rob Rogers, Amal Mattu, Joe Lex, Chris Nickson, and guest speakers. a plethora of networking opportunities with course teaching faculty and with other attendees group dinners (even more than 2013)

Integration of Social Media and Medical Education

This cutting-edge medical education and faculty development course relies heavily on the integration of social media (like Twitter) and education technology. Live Twitter feeds will be utilized during the course and will be organized under the hashtag #ITCapr14 for the April course and #ITCoct14 for the October course. The course will employ a flip the classroom approach by having attendees do some preparation before the course even starts, thus freeing up class time for in-depth discussions. Many of the topics (like the teaching labs) will be taught utilizing an observational tool, whereby the attendees will actually attend teaching labs and critique and evaluate real-time teaching. Select lectures will be broadcasted live with the use of the LiveStream Broadcaster and the LiveStream HD500 broadcast studio. In addition, plans are being made to incorporate Google Glass into the course as a teaching tool and for streaming. Social media, medical education technology, and the shear talent of our faculty will combine to make for an educational extravaganza that you wont want to miss.
