BUGS
#BUG 1
Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: user is allowed to type in and use * as a numeric
value
Repro:
1. Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: type in '*' character in the 'Insert Number' text
area by pressing the * key on the keypad once
Expected: user should not be allowed to type in and use * as it is a special character and not a number.
Risk: Low
#BUG 2
Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: user is allowed to type in and use + as a numeric
value
Repro:
1. Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: type in '+' character in the 'Insert Number' text
area by pressing the * key on the keypad twice
Expected: user should not be allowed to type in and use + as it is a special character and not a number.
Risk: Low
#BUG 3
Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: user is allowed to type in and use alphabets p and w
as numeric values
Repro:
1. Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: type in 'p/w' characters in the 'Insert Number' text
area by pressing the * key on the keypad thrice/four times
Expected: user should not be allowed to type in and use p/w as they are alphabets and not numbers.
Risk: Low
Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: alignment of */+/p/w is improper
Repro:
1. Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Number: type in '*/+/p/w' character in the 'Insert Number'
text area by pressing the * key on the keypad multiple times until it reaches 31 character(which is the
maximum limit)
Result: Observe that there is space for another character on the left most side of the text area
Expected: Space in the text area should be used properly as the above issue may give an impression to
the user that it is a space character or an alignment problem
Risk: Low
#BUG 5
Dictionary On (English): Create Message > Insert Options > Symbol menu option is displayed after keying
in a few special characters
Repro:
2. Create Message > Insert Options > type in '.' character in the message area using '1' key on the keypad
4. Keep on pressing the '*' key on the keypad until '1' is displayed in the message area
5. Observe that symbol menu option is displayed in the left hand bottom corner
Result: Symbol menu option is not available to the user until the user uses 9 keystrokes of the '*' key on
the keypad
Expected: Symbol menu option should be displayed the moment any special character is typed in the
message area
Risk: High risk. The customer might not even know that the symbol menu is available after 9 keystrokes
and may even discard the phone if he/she is an avid user of symbols(mostly young generation)
Dictionary On (English): Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Word: The transition from Titlecase to
Lowercase happens without user selection
Repro:
1. Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Word: Click on # key on the keypad to select Titlecase(Abc
should be displayed in text area)
3. Observe that immediately after typing the first character (T in the above example), the format
changes to Lowercase.
Result: The transition from Titlecase to Lowercase happens without user selection
Expected: The transition from Titlecase to Lowercase should happen only if the user changes the
selection by using the '#' key appropriately.
Risk: Medium risk. The customer is fooled to think that Titlecase is being used though it is not in reality.

switches back to Titlecase
Repro:
1. Create Message > Insert Options > Insert Word: Press on # key on the keypad to select Titlecase(Abc

3. Observe that immediately after typing the first character (T in the above example), the format
changes to Lowercase.

changes to Lowercase.
Result: The transition from Titlecase to Lowercase happens without user selection
Expected: The transition from Titlecase to Lowercase should happen only if the user changes the
selection by using the '#' key appropriately.

ISSUES
#ISSUE 1
1. Why are *, +, #, p, w allowed in the 'Insert Number' feature? I can think of # being used in the
postal addresses. For eg. #445/8, Nevada County. Usage of *,+,p,w needs to be removed unless
there is a plausible requirement to do so.
