Where do you go for your holidays? Perhaps you stay with you relatives in another town or village. In some parts of the world people go to another area or country for holidays. They stay in hotels, relax and visit interesting places. We call these places tourist centers. They are very important for Ghana because they bring a lot of money and we can all learn from each other. There are a lot of new jobs for the people in the tourist industries. Ghana is a pound country with Africas friendliest people so it is very good choice for tourist. Although there are many rainy seasons, the weather is warm all year. There are good roads and tourists can hire cars, join tourists buses or arrange a trip with a taxi drive. Ghana has many excellent places to stay, from large modern hotels to lodges in our national parks. We provide tour guides for different places of attractions and they dont cost much money. Cultural and artistic activities National parks Festivals Local history events Sport activities Ghana has a rich cultural history and is well known for its traditional festival which takes place all over the country throughout the year. This is when Ghanaian hospitality is at its best and visitors are always very welcome. Tourist can watch elephants, lions and other large animals in Benin, experience tropical forest life in the Southern region or just relax on many beautiful beaches along the coast. Tourists will go home with few bags full of magnificent clothes, carvings, leather goods and baskets and with their minds filled with many happy memories. Questions (4marks each) 1. I am happy to have been able to receive your previous letter. I was glad that you asked me to tell you about my school. Since you asked, I will tell you what you need to know about my school. The name of my school is Holy Trinity Lutheran school. It is located in Kwadaso, Kumasi. The school is a large one, with a main block and other buildings. The main block is a four storied building. It has a large compound, most of which is used as parking space. The color of the school is blue and white. There are 15 classrooms, an ICT lab and library, and four offices on the ground floor. There is a chapel where we worship, and a basketball court. The name of our Executive Manager is Mr. Kwaku, and the Supervisor of Studies is Mr. Gyasi. There are 34 teachers in my school.
