INSTALLATION GENERAL Installation work shall be carried out in accordance with good engineering practices and also manufacturers

s instructions and recommendation where the same is available. Equipment shall be installed in a neat workmanship manner. The contractor shall assemble all the parts, mount and wire up loose equipment, fittings and accessories and complete with all connections. The equipment to be erected shall be mounted on steel structures or on foundation as per approved drawings. Contractor will supply and install bolts, nuts, screws and anchors as required to complete the installation. All erection work shall be carried out in strict compliance with manufacturers instruction and shall include all necessary adjustment, checks and measurements. All internal wiring of the equipment, which has been left incomplete because of shipping split of which, requires the contractor shall carry out minor modifications. The contractor shall record results of all erection tests and measurements. The contractor shall submit copies of those tests results to the purchaser for his reference and record. The erection shall include but not limited to the following: -

DISCONNECTING SWITCHES 3-pole 36KV disconnecting switches without earth switches complete with accessories will be mounted on already erected support structures. The work includes but not limited to the following.

Preparation of procedure for erection to be followed. Assembly, proper alignment and complete erection, control cubicle, insulators and other accessories for smooth mechanical and electrical operation, necessary connection of switch terminals to bus.

Commissioning of the equipment.

LIGHTNING ARRESTOR 36KV gapless Zinc oxide type lightning Arrestors each with insulating base, surge counter with leakage current measurement device under the scope of purchasers supply will be mounted on already erected support structures as per approved drawing. The work includes but not limited to the following: i) ii) Loading and transportation of the equipment from purchasers premises to site. Complete checking of the equipment and intimating the purchaser with the inspection report for repair/replace of the damaged parts and record of the short supply items.

Preparation of procedure for erection to be followed. Assembly, proper alignment, and complete erection of Lighting Arrestor with insulating base, surge counter and leakage current meter along with necessary connection of LA terminals to bus bars.

v)

Commissioning of the equipment.

CURRENT TRANSFORMR & POTENTIAL TRANSFORMER

All current transformers & potential transformers are under purchasers scope of supply. All Current Transformers & potential transformers are to be mounted on already erected support structures. The work includes but not limited to the following: i) Loading and transportation of the equipment from purchasers premises to site and unloading the same. ii) Complete checking of the equipment and intimating the purchaser with inspection report for repair /replace the damaged parts and record the short supplied items. iii) iv) Preparation of procedure for erection to be followed. Assembly, proper alignment and complete erection of the equipment, necessary connection of CT/PT terminal to bus. v) Commissioning of the equipment.

ACSR CONDUCTORS AND GS WIRE

The ACSR/AAA Conductor and GSS wire are under the Scope of purchasers supply which will be utilized for stringing various buses and jumper / dropper connection or shielding wire as per approved Sub-station layout and elevation drawing. The contractor shall erect these buses accordingly.

SWITCHYARD HARDWARES, INSULATORS AND ACCESSORIES

All

(Pedestal/Suspension/Tension) are under the scope of purchasers supply (bolts, nuts, washer, etc. under the scope of contractors scope of supply) and will be used in the switchyard / Sub-Station as per the approved drawings as and where required. The contractor shall assemble, clean and erect carefully all

the post insulators necessary for stringing and connection. All the post insulator strings shall be complete with necessary tension and suspension clamps and other hardwares as per approved drawings. The tension clamps to be used are compression types. The contractor shall do all the stringing, install the aluminium bus bar under purchasers scope of supply and connect various equipments in the switchyard as per the approved drawings.

CONNECTORS All the connectors under the scope of purchasers supply will be utilized in switchyard / Sub-Station as per the approved drawings. The connectors will be required for connection between various equipment to aluminium bus/ ACSR bus, Aluminium bus to Aluminium bus or Aluminium bus to ACSR conductor etc. The contractor shall erect the connectors accordingly.

ALUMINIUM RIGID BUS BARS AND BUS SUPPORTS Erection of rigid aluminium bus bars with insulators, connectors and connection to various equipment in the substation and transformer yard as per the approved drawings will be done by the contractor. All these bus bars are within the scope of purchasers supply.

OUTDOOR BOARDS, MARSHALLING KIOSKS, TERMINAL BOARDS ETC.

Erection of the above will be done by the contractor as per the approved drawings. Alignment, grouting / fixing, mounting and connection etc. of loose supplied items/ components with necessary Earthing will be done by the contractor.

METERING PANELS AND OTHER CONTROL PANELS IN THE METERING ROOM BUILDING

All alignment, leveling, grouting, anchoring, adjustment shall be carried out in manufacturers instruction and / or as directed by Engineer. supplied relays, instrument and accessories, necessary, are to be done on Mounting and
