The ability of the water treatment specialist to perform water analysis testing, maintain mobile water supply equipment, operate military wells, the 600-GPH and the 3,000-GPH ROWPUs, the 150,000-GPD ROWPU, the TWDS, and other water distribution, storage, and transportation equipment is a very important skill in the production of potable water.

The student must achieve a score of 70% on the End of Course Exam. The written examination will be administered following a block of instruction and is located in the Instructor Test Package. Refer to the Course Management Plan/Program of Instruction (CMP/POI) for guidance on administering the test.

NOTE: Rapid, immediate feedback is essential to effective learning. Schedule and provide feedback on the evaluation and any information to help answer students' questions about the test. Provide remedial training as needed.

2.

Ensure each student has a copy of the written exam and a pen or pencil.

3.

Review the procedures with the students.

Procedures

Review the following instructions with the students:

1. Record your answers as directed by the test administrator.

2. You will be given 2.00 hours to complete the test. As you work, the time remaining will be given at regular intervals to the conclusion of the test.

3. You are not authorized assistance during the test.

4. If you require an instructor during the test, raise your hand. Do not leave your test station.

5. You are warned that disciplinary action will be taken against any student giving or receiving unauthorized information.

6. Check your examination booklet now to ensure that all questions are legible. Once this is done, place your name, rank, and course number in the designated area of the test booklet.

7. If you have time before the conclusion of the test time is called, use the time to check your answers for accuracy and neatness, and to ensure that all questions have been answered.

8. When you have completed the test, ensure that your name and all identifying information is placed on the test material before handing in the test.

9. Hand in your test booklet and answer sheet to the instructor.

10. If you have any questions, ask them now.
