NOTES

The crown of the hat is worked in continuous spiraling rounds. The colors in the crown are not cut and re-joined, so you may find it helpful to place a safety pin in the live loops of inactive colors while working with the active color to prevent them from unraveling. When switching colors, simply remove hook from loop of current color and place loop of next color to be used on the hook. Once the crown is complete, the hat is worked down to the brim with no further increasing. If you would like to adjust the size of your hat, you may add or subtract rounds from the crown portion of the hat; simply measure the circumference of the crown after any round has been completed to see what the finished circumference of the hat will be.
