What is a mode of delivery

The mode of delivery is the means of transportation that is used when an order is delivered from the seller to the buyer. Use the modes of delivery form to create a new mode of delivery (Sales and marketing > Setup > Distribution > Modes of Delivery)

How to setup modes of delivery for online stores

Once you create modes of delivery, you can specify which modes of delivery are available to customers during checkout in your online stores based on the products and delivery address selected.

Open the Modes of delivery form by following any of the below two steps: a. Click on Sales and marketing > Setup > Distribution > Modes of Delivery

b. In AX, navigate to Retail > Common > Retail channels > Online stores and open the online store that you want to setup the modes of delivery for. Click on Modes of delivery from the Setup tab

Now click on Manage modes of delivery

This brings up the Modes of delivery form. In the list on the left, select a mode of delivery.

Select the online stores that you want the mode of delivery to be applicable to a. On the Retail channels fast tab, click Add line

b. In the Retail operating unit picker form, select an organization hierarchy.

c. Expand the Available organization nodes list and select the online stores, then click Add >>

d. After adding the required online stores, Click close

Include or exclude products from the mode of delivery a. On the Products fast tab, click Add line, and specify the category or product or variant to be included or excluded

b. To select multiple products i. On the Products fast tab, click Add Products

ii. In the Add products form, select the Retail category hierarchy. iii. Expand the category nodes list and select a category. iv. From the Available products list, select the products that you want to add and click Add. Click Add variants to select specific variants.

v. Click OK

If you want to include or exclude one or more addresses from the mode of delivery, on the Addresses tab, click Add line for each address, and then specify the country or state and whether to include or exclude it.

Click Close Process the delivery modes by clicking Retail > Periodic > Process delivery modes

Click OK. (You can also set this up as a batch job by selecting the Batch processing and setting up the Recurrence)

Navigate to Retail > Periodic > Data distribution > Create actions and create the actions Navigate to Retail > Periodic > Data distribution > Distribution schedule. You should see the distribution schedule form similar to the image below.

Run A-1020_OC (Modes of delivery (Online Channel)) job from the window by selecting the job from the left navigation panel and clicking on Run directly button on the toolbar. See image above.
