Every Institution has its own subculture,..........

In- house jokes that no one b ut the alumni can understand, places which are revered and talked about but are alien to the outsiders. Institutional lingo is one such thing.Till the time you know about it, the conversation will all sound gibberish to you. Well NDA, being a pretty Old institution, has developed its own lingo too.Here a re some of the witty and puzzling words used by NDA Cadets. So now you can ACTUALLY understand what that Ex NDA was talking about!!!! FL - No my friends!! Don't think of it innocently as the Foreign Language (Or th e Hot Foreign Language Teacher, as was in the case of the French Instructor ) th e cadets study here. This is the French or Fake Liberty. Sometimes our desperate cadets get gated by senior or officers due to some reason other than his fault (The poor cadet was never at fault!!) Going out on liberty from various places o ther than the gate remains the only option. KELA, CHIKOO - and U thought these were fruits!! not so simple, my simple friend ...In NDA chikoo means a guy having good looks(and more likely to be a success o n MG Road encounters) and kela means trouble . SQUADRON SPIRIT - You always thought NDA was haunted by this poltergeist!!!... w ell you are partially right. it is a ghoul which resides deep inside a cadet and comes out during all competitions. MAHARAJA - WOW!! this must be related to something grand or royal.... or is it.. ? Well its a grand way to sort out nefarious cadets. Its a yogic position even B aba Ramdev couldn't replicate. Just try it once at home. Ask any EX NDA how.... BO, DO , RRCO - No, these are not the sister organisations of DRDO... :P... Thes e are the various rigs for punishment for a errant NDA Cadet. CREAM ROLL, SWISS ROLL, EGG ROLL - Yummy?.. well not for the cadet who's 'having ' these rolls certainly. These are 'rolling' punishments. 7th HEAVEN - Ohhhh.... this must be some special nda cocktail, the height of ecs tasy...But wait, when you see an NDA Cadet 'enjoying' 7th Heaven (if u see him i n this state at all..) his face would seem contorted in the depth of agony, and you will understand why.. SPIDERMAN - Some times, an NDA Cadet mysteriously gains strange powers sans a sp ider bite and he can climb the wire mesh outside his cabin!!! when he attains su ch an 'elevated' state , he's called a - guess what - Spiderman. TAKE CARE - Finally, you think, something uncomplicated. A senior taking care of junior How considerate of the senior, really big brotherly. The NDA Cadet being 'taken care' of knows too well. His bad time had started....
