Abstract: Competitions

Please note that abstract shortlisting is only for the teams requiring accommodation. Guidelines for the submission of the abstract are as follows: Rename the .doc file as Team code.doc (example: FT1001.doc where FT1001 will represent the respective Registration code (or Team ID) and email the file to competitions@techfest.org. Mention the name of the competition and Team ID in the subject clearly. Please fill in the information in the sections mentioned below. Kindly do not exceed the word limit mentioned in respective sections and do make sure that you type the document only in Arial font (size 12). Support your write up with appropriate images of your machine. Note that even photos of incomplete machine may be attached and if it is not at all possible to include the pictures then try and integrate 2d plans/CAD drawings in the abstract.
The abstract of your machine will be helpful everywhere in future as an evidence of your hard-work, along with determining your position for the competition. So please pay adequate attention to it.

Please fill in the following details:Name of the competition: Grid Warrior Wild Card Team Code (Registration Number): GWWC1057 Team Leaders name: Suyash Bansal Contact Number: 8802681855

Each team is allowed to make only one submission. In case of multiple submissions, only first submission will be evaluated.

The details of the abstract will remain confidential with the manager of the event.
Fill in the information about your machine in the respective sections as mentioned below: 1. Describe your progress and plan of action for the competition. [Support your description with both images and video]

We have planned the structure of the robot. We are including the outlines CAD images of the robot. The robot will be made by 2 layers of acrylic sheet. The image below show the bottom layer. It will hold the motors, sensors and the batteries.

It is our initial planning of the robot. We will keep it more or less same but we can make some changes if we get some errors in the trial runs.

The image below is the top layer. It will hold the Arduino and the motor shield.

We are planning to complete it by the end of this week. Then we will be doing the trial runs. Till now we have made the pseudo codes and started writing the main program.

2. Give the specification of you all the parts that you have bought from the market.

List of parts bought from the market:A. B. C. D. E. F. G. H. Arduino Uno It is the brain of the robot. It is rev 3 and runs on AT mega 328 Motor Driver It will be used to drive the motors. It is based on L298N IC. DC motor These are 12V DC motors. They are of 100 RPM. IR LED & Receiver We have bought individual LED, Receiver & op-amp to construct the IR Modules ourselves. Battery We have bought 9V batteries to run our robot. Wheels We have bought plastic wheels with a diameter of around 7.2cm. LEDs We have bought LED of respected color which will be used for identification of lines. Connecting Wires We bought jumper wires to connect various parts in the robot.

3. Describe any unusual/advantageous/innovative idea/s you have used for the competition. We are going to use only 4 sensors in the robot. 3 linear for counting the lines and one in the front for checking whether the line exists or not. We are using 100rpm motors to achieve max speed and trying to optimism the grid solving ability of the robot. Thats all we have found till now.
