RETIREMENT

OH GLORIOUS DAYS! Kindly let this memo serve as my official notification to the School Board of Broward County, that effective on January 4th, 2008, I will be retiring as a Deputy Sheriff with Broward County Sheriffs Office. After 35 years as a law enforcement officer, it is time to pursue my other interests and more importantly, spend the quality time with my daughters and grandchildren that they so justly deserve. I would like to say thank you, to the School Board ofBroward County, for allowing me to serve as a ROCS officer on the campus of Seagull School for the last five years and a special thanks to Principal Bonnie Clemons of Seagull School, who has cared so much of my participation in the ROCS program and of my health issues. It has truly been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Again, thank you. Deputy Sheriff Gene Moll has expressed a desire to me, to participate in the ROCS program and purchase my mobile home on the campus of Seagull School. If approved, Deputy Moll will continue any qualification process in his effort to secure the position. Respectfully and gratefully submitted.

Cc; Principal Clemons

From: Pat Phil1ips/ROC Western High School Reference: Retirement Date and Sale of Mobile Home on Western High Campus

This letter is in regards to earJy notification that J am currently preparing for my transition from Active to Retired Law Enforcement. My official retirement date is not until April 30,2008, but I am currently attempting to transfer the mobile home assigned to the campus at Western High to my son Brad Denning. Brad has been living on the campus at this residence with me for three years and is currently listed on the lease. Brad has been a member of the Florida Highway Patrol for over two years and is assigned to Broward County, Troop K. Brad has met with Principal Fiske and has filled in for me in the past during my absences from the campus. He also joined me at the last lease-signing meeting, in hopes to familiarize himself with school board policies and what is expected of him in the position of ROC Officer. I understand someone from your office will need to contact the School Board PJanrdllg .Department to discuss the changes, please feel free to call me if I can assist with any additional in formation needed. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I have dealt with at SIU over the past 19 plus years; it has been a pleasure working with you all.
