System Description The Medium Intensity White Lighting System shall utilize a white strobe light for daytime and nighttime marking. The flash head shall be powered and controlled by a power supply that can be mounted remotely at the base of the structure. The power supply shall constantly monitor the operation of the system, and provides alarm contact closure upon any failure. The system shall automatically switches between day and night intensities by use of a calibrated photocell. The flash heads shall incorporate a light blocking strip that minimizes ground scatter light, resulting in a community friendly lighting system.

.3 .4

Flash head Internally triggered Xenon strobe tubes shall be utilized for long-life and maximum efficiency, without creating corrosive ozone Parabolic reflector/linear strobe tubes optics combination provides very precise optics and blocks ground scatter light in both red and white operation Safety interlock switch included No moving parts High temperature, UV resistant acrylic used for flash head lens Photometric Performance: a. Day- 200,000 +/- 25% effective candelas b. Twilight- 20,000 +/-25% effective candelas c. Night- 2,000 +/-25% effective candelas d. Night/ICAO- 4,000 +/-25% effective candelas e. Photometric control shall be by means of two photo cells with the following sensitivities: i. Twilight range of 350-650 lux ii. Night range of 20-50 lux f. 120 deg. Horizontal beam coverage g. 3 deg.
