2013 FINALE

Our prayer is that the Lord will speak to you through these publications.

ISSUE

The KEY RING is a monthly publication by the Kampala Baptist Church Mens Ministry that seeks to provide an avenue where men can share knowledge and understanding of the word of God, experiences, encourage one another as the older men also perform the act of paralambano to the younger men.

We caught up with some of the ardent readers of the Key Ring and asked them the following questions: 1. What lessons do you feel the Lord has been teaching you this year? 2. What message do you have for the brethren at Kampala Baptist Church as we approach 2014? 3. Is there any inspiration you have got from reading the Key Ring this year? Below is what they had to say (numbering of the responses corresponds to that of the questions above):

1.To rely on Him and know that He is over all and everything is all about Him. 2. If you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, this festive Brian Kaganzi season is a time for you to celebrate. If you do not know Him, then it is a time for you get to know Him and start a relationship with Him. 3. I have got a lot of encouragement and knowledge from the stories shared by the different people. The Key Ring also helps brings some people nearer to us like Ivy Otto through that issue on Husband Material.

1. To trust God at work in peoples lives because sometimes we see Christianity as a certain way things should be and are quick to judge when we see people struggling in different ways or doing things a certain way. His same grace that is at work in me is at work in the lives of other people. 2. Let us allow restoration to happen in peoples lives and to know that it is the best way we encourage people to worship God. Maria Kisakye Because we Christians can sometimes be obstacles to that process. 3. We do not have enough time for people to stand at the pulpit and share their testimonies but when you read the Key Ring you see peoples testimonies. It is a way of interacting with people and getting to know what they think.

1. The understanding of the sovereignty of God: that He has all power and can do all He wants. Nothing takes him by surprise and He is aware of all my circumstances. And so I need to trust Him more for life as it unfolds. 2. To whom much is given, much is expected. I believe KBC has been gifted abundantly. We therefore have a responsibility Ps. Andrew Mwenge to prioritise kingdom business. There are many agendas, we have many responsibilities, we have many dreams but in the midst of all that, we have the responsibility to prioritise kingdom business such that our output matches our giftedness. 3. Reading Mr. Kasanas reflections made me see constituency in his life through the years. It made me set some goals for myself because I want to finish well. I have also seen that in the lives of many that have shared through the Key Ring.

1. The Lord has been teaching me about humility: for me to see myself as equal to everybody else. I feel the Lord has been telling me that we have forgotten that virtue through self ambitions and materialism. 2. In 1 Peter 5:8, the Bible talks about being vigilant and that the devil is moving around looking for who to devour. We therefore need to be alert and put God at

1. Not to be anxious about anything but bring everything to Him in prayer. To also be patient and trust Him just like Philippians 4:6 says. 2. As we grow, we need to stick together in unity and fellowship. We all need to get involved in all ministries of the church.

1. He has taught me to be humble through various experiences. He has also taught me to be hard working because as the Bible says, indeed, we can only eat from our sweat.

2. We do not know what is 3. Reading the Key Ring on going to happen in 2014 but Dan W.
