Dear Praying Friends, December 2013/January 2014 The verses to the right from Romans 5:3-5 came to mind as I sat down to write this letter. I guess you could say I have been working on my patience and experience these last 2 months. We continue to face a number of spiritual battles. However, we know that when there are trials and discouragements in ministry, that great victories follow. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer! Challenges ~ there have been a number of challenges that have come up recently. In November, we had to move out of our church building and into a new place. We thank the Lord that we could find a place to meet our current needs. We are still trying to encourage the people in the importance of faithfulness to church and discipleship. I have also experienced a number of personal challenges ministry adjustments, loneliness, discouragement in the growth of some of the people I minister to, etc... Thank you for praying for the Zulu classes. My exams went well. With language classes finished for the year, I have extra time to do more work in the Zulu area, but no one to visit with on a regular basis. Please pray that the Lord will send a ministry helper or a Zulu woman that I can train. For now, one of the children from Junior Church will do visits with me. At the end of November, our church ladies got together in my home for a Christmas Tea. We had a wonderful time of fun and fellowship! Please continue to pray that the Lord would give us the wisdom to help these ladies to have a closer walk with the Lord. There are so many in our church that are hurting during this time of year. So far in December, we have ~ visited the children at Abambo school, taken the faithful kids on a special outing, enjoyed the Carols by Candlelight service, and worked on some future ministry projects. What will the New Year bring? We have been given 2 classrooms at the Abambo school to have church and Bible Studies in. We have a lot of work ahead of us to prepare to meet in those rooms by February. Our church will also be starting the Reformers Unanimous program. The church will be responsible for printing part of the curriculum for all of South Africa. We begin in January, by first having our church people go through the program and then training some to become leaders in RU when we open it for the people in our area. There are many other opportunities, but not the man-power to do them. Please pray for more laborers in this harvest field. Also pray for missionaries like me, who rely on others to work with. It is not safe for me to go alone into many of the areas and that is where God has to provide others to work alongside missionaries like me. Also, pray for your missionaries overseas, who are away from their families during this time of year. We know that God is near to us and that He will fill the time we would have had with family, with others who are(or soon will be)part of our spiritual family. The Lord is always faithful to encourage and bless the laborers in His Harvest! Great is His Faithfulness!!!May you all have a very Merry Christmas! In His Service, Gina Frey
