Rowan University has three campuses in New Jersey. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20 minutes southeast of Philadelphia. Its Camden campus is within the city's University District, just a short distance from the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. The Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine is located in Stratford, NJ. The University also offers courses on-site at area community colleges as well as online. The department of Educational Services, Administration and Higher Education is one of five departments within the College of Education. The department of Educational Services, Administration and Higher Education houses graduate programs in school psychology, counseling in educational settings, higher education and school administration. The College of Education is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the New jersey Department of Education. Qualifications: This tenure-track 10-month position requires a combination of scholarly accomplishment, practitioner leadership experience, and a rich knowledge base in leadership-related fields to enhance our graduate programs in educational leadership. Required An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from an accredited institution with a major in Educational Leadership or Educational Administration A record of scholarly research, teaching and service commensurate with an Assistant or Associate level appointment. Experience building partnerships with P-12 schools Demonstrated record of program development and use of technology in service delivery Currency and fluency in the research on P-12 educational administration and leadership. Demonstrated ability to provide program leadership and knowledge of national accreditation standards including CAEP and ELCC. Administrative experience as a Superintendent and/ or Principal A record of professional activities and an ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships in dynamic and collaborative environments Demonstrated ability in excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice and collaboration A personal vision for leadership in educational institutions that challenges how we develop school administrators.
