What Is the LoSat Expanded Accuracy Feature? All OxiMax adhesive sensors, including Max-Fast forehead sensors, feature Covidiens Nellcor LoSat expanded accuracy range of 60% to 100% SpO21 for assessment of patients in the challenging low-saturation ranges, such as infants with congenital heart disease.6
Nellcor OxiMax Sensors from Covidien Help You and Your Staff:
EARLy WARnInG LeADs to EARLy InteRVentIon OxiMax Max-Fast forehead sensors are for patients with low perfusion and for use in settings where clinicians and physicians want to be alerted to changes in SpO2 up to three minutes earlier than digit sensors,1 enabling quicker responses to hypoxemic events. Featuring a LoSat2 expanded accuracy range down to 60% SpO2, this innovative sensor works in challenging patient conditions.1 And OxiMax Max-Fast forehead sensors offer single-patient-use convenience and long-lasting, four-layer adhesive. Forehead Versus Fingers Obtaining accurate SpO2 readings can be a challenge in certain conditions.. Digit sensors are typically effective, but in some circumstances, fingers can be prone to vasoconstriction or low peripheral perfusion.8 In cases like this, OxiMax Max-Fast forehead sensors can help you maintain a consistent, reliable reading.1
ContInuous MonItoRInG, ContInuous PARtneRsHIp At Covidien, were dedicated to providing accuracy, reliability and a broad range of sensor options to our healthcare partners.
