Per our last meeting, we have prepared this memo in order to express the objectives of a potential referendum. That is, we have made a simple list of items for which money is to be used. This is not meant as a comprehensive, all inclusive or prioritized list, but rather as a tool for communication with the electorate. Items have been listed per building and have been further defined into the following categories: Site Improvements: items on the property not connected to the building Exterior Improvements: items on the exterior shell of the building Interior Improvements: items on the interior of the building Enhancements to be considered: goals to be achieved depending on availability of funds and priorities decided during the design process

The risk in listing individual goals is in considering them as separate projects. Many of the items that we have discussed to date are associated with one another. For example, walls, ceilings, electrical, piping and HVAC are all connected. It would only be prudent to work on these items in a comprehensive manner. Hence, replacing the demountable partitions and ceiling in the high school will result in the general renovation of the classrooms. Further, accessing spaces above the ceiling and behind the walls to replace galvanized piping will cause the toilet rooms to be renovated. Therefore, there is a fair amount of overlap in work and budgeting for the items listed. Please note that for this reason, the final objectives and scope of work are to be determined during the design process.
