Adding description of an interface to the title of a graph in cacti

### First to all to achieve this we need to add the ifAlias variable to cacti as following suggest it http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseOID.do?local=en&translate=Tra nslate&objectInput=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18 snmpwalk -On -c public -v 2c 192.168.180.2 .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18 snmpwalk -On -c public -v 2c 192.168.180.2 ifAlias

### go to Configuration > Settings > Visual #### change the data value of Maximum Field Length below of Data Queries to a number such as 30 and save it. ### now go to Data Queries below of Collection Methods and select SNMP Interface Statistics, select the desired option such as In/Out Bytes with Total Bandwidth #### within In/Out Bytes with Total Bandwidth add the following line on the session Graph Template - Interface - Traffic (bytes/sec, Total Bandwidth) below of Suggested Values session ##### |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifName| - |query_ifAlias| click to Add button and move unto the top of the list. #### finally create the graph of the desired interface.

Now you can see the same description into the title of the graph
