MACC investigating
alleged RM10m
donation
MALAYSIAN Anti-Corruption Com-
mission (MACC) officials were at the
MCA headquarters in Kuala Lumpur
on Friday morning to investigate
the alleged RM10 million donation,
China Press reported yesterday.
MACC has requested the pres-
ence of party treasurer-general
Tan Sri Tee Hock Seng and MCA
headquarters chief administrative
director Lim Chin Hai at the Federal
MACC headquarters today to assist
in the investigation.
The report said two officials
from the commission called at the
Wisma MCA and made known their
intention to investigate the case of
the alleged political donation but
were told Tee was away.
They left after speaking to Lim
with a copy of the party constitu-
tion.

dent Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing’s
claim that he made a RM10 million
MCA CC member sees no

MCA central committee (CC) mem-
ber Hou Kok Chung does not agree
or see the need for an extraordinary
general meeting (EGM) of MCA to
be called.
Hou, the former deputy higher
education minister, said the party’s
immediate task is to maintain its
stability, especially so when the
country is at a low point regarding
racial harmony, economy and politi-
cal issues.
He was commenting on rumours
that party members loyal to deputy
president Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek
are planning to call for an EGM to
move a motion of no-confidence
against party chief Datuk Seri Ong
Tee Keat after the Permatang Pasir
by-election.
Nevertheless, he said he was
confident that the EGM would not
materialise.

Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) controversy,
he said party transformation is not
just about slogans but needed
physical action “to be paid with a
real price”.
“Party transformation must be
a commitment to what we believe
in and we must show to the peo-
ple that we are really committed
in fighting graft and eradicating
malpractices,” he said.
Party deputy president Datuk
Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek had said the
conflict between Ong and Datuk
Seri Tiong King Sing, chief executive
officer of PKFZ turnkey developer
Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, who ac-
cused Ong of taking a RM10 million
“loan” from him, should be left out
of the party.
