Julie: Lottery director retiring at the end of the November, Jack Roberts from Lane County politician. Working at starting to talk about ways to improve relationships with the lottery while he is transitioning in. Agenda Items: PGS Manager Update: Greta Coe has accepted the position as the PGS manager. Environmental scan presentation (Jessica Jacks/Becca Heuser): Jessica was unable to attend due to illiness. Becca shared her process and sent attachements of report and methods to be shared with the other prevention coordinators; those will be emailed out to the coordinators. She is also going to be at the prevention summit if anyone has questions. Overview presented and discussion of the store assessments: 16-17 year olds from the county completed the store assessments they canvassed the outside, inside etc. They looked at pricing, placement, and advertisement. Lane County

will be doing this same project and is looking to find out more about how Becca did this in Yamhill County. Recruited youth through schools and compliance checks office and the cadet programs. She provided a pretty complete picture of the orientation process. Yamhill County will be using the results from the environmental scans as a base to expand our understanding and combining this information with student use data, school information, and youth focus groups. Workforce Policy Development (Julie Hynes): Last month we had a conversation around the new OARs related to workplace policy development. Each of our programs must come up with a policy on this. Lisa Miller, Becca Heuser and Julie Hynes are going to be meeting and developing a template policy. They had their first meeting on Wednesday October 30, 2013. A policy could fit into DFW workplace, protected health information, HIPPA and for programs we can just add simple language, but the groups want to go broader and develop county-wide. Looking at areas like using computers for personal gain to also include PG language, Drug Free Workplace policies are a place we could develop language for. They will develop a few levels of language recommendations: program, department and countywide policy. They plan on meeting a few more times, and are getting information from other states to look at in addition to the Oregon scan of policies. PGAW Calendar Distribution: Please respond to email requesting information about how many calendars you county wants and AMH staff will ship them out soon.
