Competency Standards

The Function
A discussion is used to present different opinions on a particular issue or topic ie arguments for ideas against between positive and negative or between good and bad.

Argument This part consists of series of paragraphs that outline arguments for and against the issue or topic. Words should show comparison/contrast and link arguments. Conclusion This part consists of sums up issues and presents writers point of view and/or recommendations.
