The Roth Family Residence

The Roth Family is a Family of 4 who own a vacation home in Nantucket Mas-

sachusetts. They typically have guests staying with them often and are usually able to vacation for the entire summer at this residence. The house has been updated to a fit contemporary lifestyle including an aging in place design on the groud floor. Keeping in mind that beach sand will be a factor through-out the space, there are more hard wood floors and tile floors than carpet.

Alexander The Roth & Feilder FamilyPediatric Residence Office

This is the office of Alex & Feidler Pediatrics Practice, located in Memphis Tennesse. The design of this office shall encompass sustainable furnishings, and materials to make the building as breathable as possible. The project theme is plant life. Specifically trees and grass, as they start as seeds and grow to tower over towns and exceed expectations. Plant life will act as a metaphor for the children that are staying at the institute. The design decisions were made to influence the growth of children. Decisions made to promote change and growth in an unstable circumstance such as an illness or another traumatic event. Visual live plants will greatly improve air quality, plant life in an office environment is also a comforting endeavor as it demonstrations the idea of living peacefully, with serenity. The design will be accomplished with large floor plants as well as hanging plants, earth toned colors and enjoyable oversized leave paintings on the walls and abstract green expressionism throughout the space.

The other 6 floors are used as living spaces in return for art. This is one of the concepts presented.
