The Post Modern celebration of Diversity:

The central hallmark of postmodern cultural expression is pluralism. Postmodern cultural works are often double coded carrying meaning on two levels. One widely used juxtaposing technique is the collage which offers the artist a natural means of bringing together incompatible source material. Postmodernism is fundamentally the eclectic mixture of any tradition. The postmodern critique of the myth of the single creating author. The postmodern artist use of diverse style. Postmodern form of expression for moving beyond history to a flat present without depth or extension. Postmodern often seek to undermine the concept of the powerful originating author. Post modernism is exerting a powerful influence on contemporary western culture.

Postmodern Architecture:
Modernist architects throughout the west developed,

This architectural movement was guided by faith in human rationality and a hope of constructing a human utopia. Modern utopianism architects constructed buildings according to the principle of unity. Modern commitment to the principle of unity produced an architecture characterized by what Charles Jencks calls univalence modern buildings display simple. Architects attain simplicity of form by allowing one them to dominate construction. The central stream of modern architecture became a universalizing movement. The expansion of modern architecture often destroyed the existing urban fabric. Some of the modern architects were not satisfied to limit the modern vision to their own discipline. Post moderns claims that all architecture is inherently symbolic. All buildings including modern structures speak a kind of language .

Postmodern Art:
Postmodern art moves from an awareness of the connectedness between what it acknowledges as its own and what it excludes. Many postmodern artists conjoin diversity with the typically postmodern technique of juxtaposition. Postmodern art is neither exclusionary nor reductive but synthetic. Postmodern artists dont view stylistic diversity merely as a means to grab attention. Postmodern artists seek to challenge the modernist focus on the stylistic integrity of the individual work.

Postmodern Theater:
In a sense the theater is perhaps the most appropriate artistic venue for the expression of the postmodern rejection of modernism. Postmodern view life like the story told on the stage as an assemblage of intersecting narratives. Many scholar date postmodern theater to the upsurge of performance art during the 1960. Some of the new theorists concluded that this repressive power was exercised by the underlying script of the text. Postmodern theatrical performance builds on these earlier experiments.
