Use a strap to secure the rear-wheel drive to the rear frame. Remove screw (3) with nut (1) and washer (2) and pivot the link up.
Tightening torques Oil filler plug in final drive housing with O-ring 11.2 x 1.8, M12 x1 20Nm

Check that plastic inserts (1), (3) are correctly seated in flexible gaiter (2). Grease the mating faces (arrows) of flexible gaiter (2).
Snap flexible gaiter (2) into the threaded ring of the final drive. Swing the final drive up and introduce the universal shaft into the shaft stub. Position flexible gaiter (2) so that the lug (4) engages the swinging arm. Check that the flexible gaiter is correctly seated on the swinging arm and the final drive.
Securing Paralever link at rear Push screw (3) through to the motorcycle side and tighten with nuts (1) and (2).

Filling rear-wheel drive with oil (oil change) Attention Any mixture of oil, brake fluid and clutch fluid, even if the quantities involved are minute, can attack and damage seals. Always use separate sets of syringes and hoses for the individual fluids, in order to avoid the risk of one fluid contaminating another. Use syringe (No. 34 2 551) to inject the correct quantity of gearbox oil through the bore for the speed sensor.
