2.1 $or1ing 2it, &iberglass Parts
@he =iberglass parts are .ade =ro. 7est Syste.s epoxy and =iberglass cloth% 'e=ore doing anything else) the parts should be -ashed to re.o#e any -axy residue =ro. the .old release agent% "cetone is ideal =or this) but it is a dangerous che.ical) so please use adeGuate s<in and lung protection i= you use it% Bou can also Iust use a -ash o= strong detergent and hot -ater =or a sa=er alternati#e% @he edges o= the parts .ay be sharp) so a pair o= glo#es is ad#isable% @he parts also need to be tri..ed% @he leading edge area on both upper and lo-er hal#es .ust be tri..ed to the cut line .olded into the =iberglass% >= you donFt see a cut line) the parts .ay ha#e already been tri..ed% >n that case test =it the. and tri. i= necessary% @he a=t area 9bat tail; shouldnFt need tri..ing% @he sides -ill be tri..ed a=ter gluing the -hole thing together% 2.1.1 Bonding to &iberglass

"l-ays -ear glo#es and a dust .as< -hen cutting or grinding =iberglass parts% @he dust is haEardous to both s<in and lungs% Getting the dust into an open -ound can cause a #ery pain=ul in=ection% 'reathing the dust can cause serious lung da.age =ro. the glass =ibers and epoxy dust% DonFt use the paper .edical .as<s) theyFre nearly useless as they donFt pro#ide a good seal% Most ho.e centers ha#e rubber dust .as<s -ith a =iber =ilter) these are .uch .ore e==ecti#e% /ye protection is also ad#isable as the dust and glass =ibers can also get into your eyes%

Start the center section construction by attaching the upper Iig to the building board% @here are =our such Iig pieces) the upper t-o can be identi=ied by their shape% "ttach the triangular C=eetD pro#ided and secure the. to the building board o#er the plans% @he =or-ard Iig goes o#er section C2C) the rear goes o#er section /2/% Bou should position the Iig so that at least one outer -ing panel can be =itted to the center section -ithout .o#ing the Iig% >t -ould be best i= both panels can be =itted -ithout .o#ing the Iig) but this .ay not be possible% >n that case you -ill need to re.o#e the center section 9-ith Iig; =ro. the building board and turn it around so that you can =it the other outer -ing panel%
