Disassembly and Inspection

SLIDER AND BOLT
1. Remove the bottom two push pins and pull the charging handle to release the slider and bolt assembly from the lower housing. Grasp the base plate and pull down and pull upward on the gun. Ensure that the pins are not bent or have burrs. Inspect the rubber bumper on the bottom of the slider for excessive damage and replace as needed. 2. Rotate the bolt 90 degrees and remove from the slider. Note: Pay attention to the orientation of the bolt during disassembly for reassembly. A slight tap on each of the two slider races will create a high pitched tone. If it does not, then damage has occurred to the slider.

Disassembly and Inspection

UPPER AND LOWER HOUSING

1. Remove the remaining two push pins located in the upper housing. One forward of the ejection port and the other forward of the trigger. Separate the upper and lower housing by grasping the upper housing and pulling upward while holding the lower housing.

2.

Disassembly and Inspection

EJECTION PORT
1. Remove the two 3.0mm mounting screws on the left hand side of the housing. Remove the ejection port from the housing; paying attention to capture and save the two stainless steel washers on the backside of the ejection port for reassembly.

2.

Disassembly and Inspection

FIRE/SAFE SELECTION LEVERS

1. Remove the ambidextrous Fire/Safe levers with a 2.0mm Allen wrench. The Levers are right and left hand specific. If reversed they will not operate the Safe/Fire lever correctly and may cause severe harm and injury to the operator.

Disassembly and Inspection

PICATINNY RAIL DISASSEMBLY

1. To remove the Picatinny Rail from the upper housing; use a 1/16 or 1.5mm punch to drift the rail retaining pin out (left or right). Remove the flashlight plug set screw using a 1.5mm allen wrench at the front of the upper housing. Push the rail forward to expose the 3 hex head screws at the rear of the upper housing. Note: If the rail is too tight to move by hand, use a piece of nylon stock and a small hammer to assist.

2.

3.

Disassembly and Inspection

FIRE CONTROL GROUP (FCG)

1. With the ejection port, picatinny rail, selector levers and the three 3.0mm hex head screws, pull the trigger forward to release the FCG from the upper housing plastic.

Disassembly and Inspection

BARREL SHROUD
1. Using a 2.0mm allen wrench, back out the set screw enough from the collar so the barrel shroud can be removed.

11

Disassembly and Inspection

BOLT LOCK BLOCK ASSEMBLY

1. With a 2.0mm allen wrench, loosen the 4 mounting screws from the Bolt Lock Catch Block. Note: Heat may need to be applied, the screws are held in place using Loctite from the factory. 2. The current design incorporates a spacer under the bolt lock block. Past or Future serial numbers may not have his part.

12

Disassembly and Inspection

LOWER HOUSING ASSEMBLY

1. To remove the lower housing (injection molded polymer), use a 3.0mm allen wrench to remove the three set screws on the right and left side of the housing. Unhook the return spring for the charging handle.

2.

13

Disassembly and Inspection

LOWER HOUSING ASSEMBLY (cont.)
1. Referencing the photos, grasp the barrel, depress the housing and press downward. Once the housing has been separated from the receiver, pull the plastic lower off completely.

14

Disassembly and Inspection

LOWER PICATINNY RAIL ASSEMBLY

1. To remove the picatinny rail from the lower housing, use a 1/16 or a 1.5mm punch. Drift the rail retaining pin out (left or right) and push the rail forward of the lower housing until removed. Note: If the rail is too tight to move by hand, use a piece of nylon stock to assist.

15

Reassembly
Lower Housing pg 17 - 20 Upper Housing pg 21 - 23

16

Reassembly
LOWER HOUSING REASSEMBLY
1. Re-insert the lower picatinny rail and drift the retaining pin back into the mounting hole. Note: The rail can only mounted one way. 2. Re-insert the metal receiver into the lower composite housing. Pay attention the last round bolt catch trigger. It must align with the cutout in the left hand receiver plate. If you have trouble seating the lower housing, the bolt lock trigger is most likely not aligned properly.

17

Reassembly
LOWER HOUSING REASSEMBLY (cont)
1. Ensure all the mounting screw holes are aligned properly with the receiver plate locations. Apply a drop of Loctite 263(red) to each of the 6 mounting screws and torque each screw to 2.0Nm. Re-hook the return spring for the charging slider. A hook tool or a paperclip may be needed to pull the spring far enough out to reinstall.

2.

3.

18

Reassembly

BARREL SHROUD
1. The end of the barrel shroud has a high temperature O ring to help with alignment and any excess movement. Apply a small amount of lubricant or high temp grease to this O ring prior to re-assembly. Slide the shroud over the barrel and align the muzzle end with the barrel. Be careful not to tear the O ring. Align the set screw with the recess on the underside of the barrel. Apply a drop of Loctite 263(red) to the set screw and using a 2.0mm allen wrench, tighten to 2Nm.
