INTRODUCTION TO WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
Management Basics  This session introduces the functionality of Warehouse Management at the 10,000-foot level while drilling down into each inventory bucket to provide the core knowledge necessary to understand the system. Menu structures and their relationship to the User Master are discussed in detail. System navigation, terminology and basic concepts are reinforced throughout with hands-on activities within Warehouse Management.

Integration  This session focuses on the main interfaces, to and from Warehouse Management, while introducing the specic tables and elds of each. Situational-based activities are used to reinforce key interface concepts.

INBOUND
Receiving and Quality  Learn the types of ASNs along with the information required from your vendors to process each throughout the receiving lifecycle. Learn when and why Perpetual Inventory Transactions (PIX) are generated from net inventory changes as well as the specics of each type and code. Learn how the Quality Inspection Table (QIT) and Immediate Needs les provide an easy way to generate diverts for the QA process or any other special operating scenario.

OUTBOUND
and Replenishment  Wave selection criteria, wave processing types (WPTs), and inventory need types (INTs) are discussed. Minimum/Maximum replenishment is reviewed to a level of detail that an understanding of the replenishment calculations is gained. Advanced methods to process orders are discussed to provide a comprehensive overview of functionality that optimizes your functional and operational requirements.
Picking, Wave

Packing and Shipping  Four different operational ways of picking and packing are discussed in detail and the corresponding system options are used to execute the process. Shipping methods are reviewed and broken out into Parcel and Freight (TL/LTL) shipping. Learn how the integration of the Transportation Lifecycle Management solutions provides functionality that can offer an immediate ROI in your facility. The new concepts of service levels and how they are used to perform rate shopping is discussed in detail.

OVERVIEW
 his course consists of modules used to guide participants through T the conguration of their Warehouse Management environment. Each participant will be challenged to create a brand new warehouse and congure all functional aspects of the system. The following is an outline of the modules covered in this comprehensive course.
User

LEVEL 2 PREREQUISITES:
Level 1 training or equivalent experience Introduction to WM Inbound Outbound

and Menu Conguration  In this module, participants are introduced to the User Master and are able to create their own user prole within their new warehouse. The ability to assign menu options to users is discussed and custom menu creation and transaction parameter maintenance are completed. Permissions and privileges are explained within the context of menu and transaction access. Creation  The masking and downloading of items into the new warehouse is covered in this module. Maintaining items that have already been downloaded is also discussed and demonstrated. Creation  The masking of locations in the new warehouse is covered in this module. The Location Wizard tool is used for mass creation of locations in the new warehouse. The maintenance of System Codes is also discussed in this segment.

Receiving

 The Receiving module covers the conguration for receiving within the Warehouse Master. Lock Codes, Nextup Numbers and Barcodes, Vendor Master and Printer Setup are also covered. Various forms of receiving are discussed through the use of Receiving Option Conguration. Conguration of divert messages through the use of immediate needs is discussed and demonstrated. ASNs will also be downloaded in this segment.

Inventory

Need Types  This module is used to dene and explain the purpose of Inventory Need Types. Common INTs are discussed and congured which will be used within the warehouse for Putaway and Allocation.

Tasking

 In this module, the concept of tasking is introduced and the participants go through the steps required to utilize tasking. Warehouse Master tasking settings, Task Creation, Task Assignment and Eligibility, and Task Execution are covered.
System-Directed

Putaway  All methods of system-directed Putaway are discussed along with each table required for conguration of this functionality. Users will congure system-directed Putaway and see it in action in their new warehouse.

Waves

 This module contains information about required Warehouse Master elds for inventory and wave control. Creation of the Wave Template is also covered and demonstrated. The steps to Run a Wave and Wave capacity management are also discussed. Orders will be downloaded into the new warehouse in this segment.
Allocation

and Replenishment  Allocation of inventory for Picktickets is covered in this module along with how allocation and replenishment tasks are generated. Information about required Warehouse Master elds for allocation and replenishment is discussed. Waves will be processed for orders. Conrmation  Methods of ship conrmation will be discussed and users will initiate invoicing within their new warehouse.

Cubing

 The Cubing module denes cubing and all required conguration to make this functionality work. Users will congure cubing functionality in their warehouse, predetermine how Warehouse Managers will cube, and demonstrate the resulting cubing within their own warehouse.
Transportation

 All conguration required to create parcel and LTL carriers to rate within the warehouse are discussed. Users will create both a parcel and LTL carrier to rate within their new warehouse.

Routing  Routing will be dened as well as the corresponding tables required to make routing function within the warehouse. Pickticket

Consolidation  The Pickticket Order Consolidation module provides an overview of how cartons packed in various areas of the warehouse may be re-united based on similar characteristics. Locations will be congured and cartons will be assigned to specic outbound staging locations based on the criteria congured in the new warehouse. Building  The conguration required to create parcel and LTL carriers within the warehouse is discussed. Users will create both a parcel and LTL carrier within their new warehouse.

OVERVIEW
This course covers Warehouse Management systems management as well as techniques for resolving Open Systems issues more quickly. Topics include core architecture, Oracle tracking, environment conguration, purging and archiving, importing/exporting data dumps, stored procedures functions and triggers, EIS comlink, directory structure, and query builder. In addition, attendees will learn how to gather the appropriate information prior to calling Manhattan Associates Customer Service, and how this reduces the time required to resolve issues.
