NovaNet
An Overview

What is NovaNet?
NovaNET is an individualized, interactive, computerbased program which contains lessons and assessments for a variety of high school courses. Students are responsible for completing tests and lessons in a timely manner, and taking notes as they work through lessons on the computer. The teacher is present as a facilitator who gives assistance when necessary, but does not instruct the class as a whole.

Current Failure Rates

**% of students are failing Coordinate Algebra **% of students are failing Analytic Geometry **% of students are failing Advanced Algebra We have to give students and opportunity to master the standards they have struggled with this semester. We will use NovaNet to do this.

Using NovaNet as Grade Repair

Grade Repair is for students who are currently enrolled in a math course and need to improve their grades at some point during the course. The current classroom teacher chooses assignments in NovaNET. Students work on NovaNET lessons and assessments outside of the school day to show mastery of content. All student lesson notes and a report of the students online work are returned to the classroom teacher for review and possible grade changes within the course. Students may work on lessons at home if they wish to do so. They may NOT work on Posttests at home. Students must show mastery of all assigned lessons and tests by scoring 80% or better since they are able to use notes on pre/post tests.
