STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

RIGHT KEY UNLOCKS THE TOUGHEST LOCK

Having learnt from the past, I live in the present with an eye on the future. My foremost dream in life is to be acknowledged and congratulated for my academic achievements. This desire is the main motivation in me wanting to pursue my masters at your esteemed university. I want to reach the zenith in Computing and Information Technology space. In this ver!changing world of Computer Technology, where each new day sees a spate of new concepts and trends emerging, I want to stay on fast track. Masters degree at your university would not only provide me sub"ect matter e#pertise but also thorough research oriented study would help me lay foundation for fulfillment of my dream. I introduce myself as an undergraduate student specialized in Computer $cience ngineering at SWAMI RAMANANDA TIRTHA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (JNTU). It is here my dream of pursuing a career in Computer $cience engineering originated. % leader knows the significance of present defeats for an astounding success in future. I learn by knowing, doing and I also learn from the challenges, obstacles and unrehearsed tasks. I try my best to foresee what the future is going to be, and what I need to do in order to succeed in that future. I not only have a vision but I complement it with planning and hard work. My friends say that I am an e#trovert, good planner and creative in my activities and I also have a never!give!up attitude which helps me to achieve my goals invariably. I work hard and sincerely to achieve good grades, which is very evident from my consistent grades. %t the same time I am not a student who concentrates on studies alone. %part from having academic proficiency, I have participated actively in many e#tra!curricular activities like cultural, social service events and sports. I love sports, and I won state silver medal in weight lifting in my school days and a gold medal in interuniversity competitions in my undergraduate education. &eing recognized as a person with good leadership 'ualities, I was made the class representative and designated as scheduler of the Computer $cience (epartment during my course. Maintaining a right balance between academics and e#tra! curricular activities, I was actively involved in conducting seminars and guest lectures for the department. My undergraduate course has given me a comprehensive knowledge of the basic areas in Computer $cience ) ngineering such as Computer *rganization, *perating $ystems, +rogramming ,anguages, Computer -etworks, ,anguage +rocessors and %rtificial Intelligence. I was involved in pro"ects implementing the principles of *perating $ystems, Computer -etworks and ,anguage +rocessors using C and C... I am proficient in languages such as /%0%, C, HTM,, and packages like M$ *ffice, databases like *1%C, , and operating systems like M$!(*$, 2-I3, ,inu#, 4indows and designing languages like 2M,.

4hile the undergraduate courses enabled me to grasp the fundamentals related to Computer $cience ngineering, they do not present an opportunity to thoroughly understand the technologies that are current within the industry. Therefore, while a &achelor5s degree provides a sound alternative to taking a direct leap from schooling fundamentals to industry standards, it is still insufficient for an engineer to analyze the professional world. I feel the need to take up graduate study, as it would bring me closer to the kind of technical e#pertise I re'uire to fulfill my professional desires. I am convinced that LAMAR Universit is the right place to further my academic career. 6our eminent faculty, e#cellent research facilities, the courses offered in your university are very much likely to produce e#cellent results to the fields of my interest. especially 6our university is a confluence of people from varied culture, nationality, religion, race and ideology. I am sure that my e#posure to these kinds of diverse influences would result in the overall development of my personality and help me broaden my concept from the narrower confines of nationalism to internationalism. I would therefore be very thankful if I am offered a beneficial association with your esteemed university with full financial support. In conclusion, I would like to say that if granted admission into your university I would perform to the best of my abilities and hope to ac'uire skills that will help me realize my dreams. 7inally I take this opportunity to thank you for enabling me to e#press myself.
