1. GENERAL
This work method statement has been developed to provide assistance to qualified personnel fortheperformanceofremedialworksonCILbundwallswhichisevidentwithverticalcracksas pernonconformancereportno.C34730006 Detailedinformationincludesthefollowing: Listofproducts/materials Equipmentrequirements Personnelandtrainingrequirements ConstructionMethodology Durationestimates PersonnelcarryingouttheremedialworksmustbeinstructedintherequirementsofthisWork MethodStatementpriortocommencementoftheactivity. Equipment must be checked prior to use and defective components or equipment removed fromservice. A separate Job Hazard Analysis is required, in addition to this work method statement, to ensure that any hazards specific to installation at the work location are identified and controlled.

3. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT.

The following tools & equipment shall be used to assist personnel to perform these remedial works: Handtools Powertools AirCompressorincludingsuitablehosesandrevisedandapprovedcouplings. 3.1 Equipment requirements

Prestart checks are to be carried out each morning on all plant and equipment by their operators. Allequipmentistobetaggedasfitforuseonsite,usingthequarterlyapprovedforusesystem. Duecareanddiligenceistobetakenregardingplantandmachinerymaintenance. Plantandequipmenttobetaggedasoutofusewhendeemedunsafe.

4.

PERSONNEL

Depending on the activity, personnel shall be appropriately qualified to perform following tasks: Useofcompressedairequipment Concreteplacementandfinishing Otherasrequired

Supervisorsoverseeingtheworkshallhaveexperienceintheconstructionofcivilworks.

4.1 Training
Further to having the correct qualifications, all personnel involved in carrying out the works shall be adequately trained and deemed competent where necessary. Such training requirementsinclude,butarenotlimitedtothefollowing: Verificationofcompetencyonplantasrequired

4.2 Health and safety requirements

All permits relevant to tasks shall be in place prior to any works commencing, and with correct dates,timeslocationsetc. Permits should be updated as per their requirements, and should be amended/ updated to consider factors including weather conditions, and other changes to the work environment. CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY
Scabbleandcleanthecrackfromanyloosematerial Grindoutcracktoaminimumdepthof20mmandwidthof20mm Clean the area of any dust and loose material using an air compressor to ensure maximumadherenceforthegrout. Wet area to be repaired using water and a paint brush ensuring complete saturation of concretebeforeapplyinggroutmaterial Applygrouttoamaximumof10mmfromthesurface. Mixing, preparation and application of grout to be in accordance with the technical data sheetattached. Apply sikaflex 11c as per detail 16 on 30140STDCC001 and in accordance with the technicaldatasheettocompletelysealthejoint.
