HACO started in 1965 as a small Flemish family-owned business serving local industrial companies. From the very beginning, our principal goal was to understand the needs and requirements of our customers and to provide for them better than anyone else does.

EXTRAORDINARY EVOLUTION IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD

Rogier Havegeer and Roger De Marez start their own company producing hydraulic components and providing maintenance and repair services. It was the initial seed from which the worldwide HACO Group NV and its related companies have grown.

The business grows steadily, evolving from a Flemish family-owned, locally anchored business into an international organization.

HACO acquires Kingsland. This acquisition adds hydraulic multi-purpose steel working machines to HACOs offering. HACO machines can now be found in virtually every workshop.

1993

HACO develops a sheet metal guillotine shear and takes its first steps as a machine builder. This turns out to be an important step towards diversification and specialization.

HACO founds ROBOSOFT for developing and manufacturing hardware and software for CNC controls. This marks the creation of the Group's second pillar, electronics, standing alongside machine building.

HACO adds OMES Italy to the Group, introducing CNC punching machines to HACOs offering. Short production times and enormous flexibility are the trademark of these machines. Take-over of the French GUILLET/CHAMBON enlarges the range of woodworking machines. NORMATIC-France joins the group and strengthens the press division by adding different automation and peripherals to it.

Acquisition of MUBEA SYSTEMS completes its offering of multi-purpose steel working machines, and customer designed drilling, punching and cutting lines.

HACO continues its move into machine building, specializing in a few carefully selected types of machines, and focuses on internationalization and expansion of capacity.

HACO takes over BRET in France. This specialist in mechanical and die forging presses opens a new path for HACO in the automobile industry, production of consumer goods, and a huge variety of other opportunities.

HACO takes over SCMB BLISS in France. This completes our full press offering with the addition of hydraulic presses. From this point on, HACO has a solution for all your press requirements.

FAT Poland becomes a part of HACO with affordable lathes and milling machines. Easy to operate thanks to the teach-in controls, and suited for machining a wide variety of different materials.

HACO takes over LSP Slovakia, enlarging HACOs offering of press brakes and shears, and expanding the Eastern European presence of our company.

A new branch office in Ningbo China is set up to strenghten the Far East customer relations.
