Course Description: This course is designed to give the students an overview of basic Financial Accounting, Bookkeeping, Budgeting, Management, Choice of Business Entity, Quickbooks, Payroll and borrowing. Course Design: This course consists of lectures, videos, discussions, and problem solving. You are expected to have read the assigned materials and reviewed the assigned homework problems prior to attending class. Grading: The final grade is determined as follows: 22.5 points Exam 1 22.5 points Exam 2 35 points 20 points Final Exam HW

I will also periodically post actual business cases to the Blackboard. There will be test questions selected from these articles as well.

Attendance: Classes must be attended. Please be punctual. You are allowed 2 unexcused absences and 2 excused absences for interviews, illness or religious purposes. IF YOU MISS AN EXAM I REQUIRE PROOF OF INTERVIEW, DOCTORS NOTE, OR OTHER RELATIVE DOCUMENTS DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION. I will take 1 point off the final grade for each absence thereafter. Examinations: All examinations are closed book unless otherwise specified. The midterm exams will be given during the regularly scheduled class period, with no make-ups.
