On 11th November 2013, we, the students of Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (BCE) got once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the top company of the Pakistan PACKAGES. .
INTRODUCTION:

First we were received by the packages company and they take us to the a sitting place where they give the refreshment and tell about the company.

Established in 1956 as a joint venture between the Ali Group of Pakistan and Akerlund and Rausing of Sweden, Packages Limited provides premium packaging solutions for exceptional value to individuals and businesses. We employ over 3000 people and had sales of over US $ 257 million in 2011. We use wheat straw as a raw material for paper and board manufacture.

Packages Limited has been producing high quality Paper and Board since 1968 using environment friendly manufacturing processes. Over

the years, Packages Limited has continued to enhance its capacities and capabilities to meet the growing demand of Paper and Board products
FOLDING CARTONS: The Folding Cartons (FC) production unit is as old as the Company itself representing the culture and history of Packages Limited. It all started with simple offset printing, cutting and creasing machines in 1957.

Packaging material is being supplied to tobacco, food, soap and detergents, pharmaceutical, match and shoe industry

( Products made from FC) FLEXIBLE BUSINESS UNIT:

Business unit flexible (BUF) provides a one stop packaging solution by providing high quality detailed graphics in Flexographic and Rotogravure printing. We also provide lamination for plastic films, aluminum foil, paper, multi-layer blown film extrusion for high speed technology in multilane slitting, standalone spout inserted bags, poly bags, zipper bags, sleeves and ice cream cones.

Packages Limited code of conduct has been prepared to assist each of us in our reports to not only maintain but enhance this reputation. It provides guidance for business conduct in a number of areas and references to more detailed corporate policies for further direction

The attractiveness of any company's corporate environment can be gauged by the employees it hires and retains. An impressive 42% of our employees have been with us for more than 10 years, and almost 26% for more than 20. BONUS: A cash bonus is paid annually to all employees. CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE: - This is also paid to all employees. Employees are also offered the option of buying vehicles at reduced prices. HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE: This is paid to all employees as a hefty percentage of their basic salaries. EMPLOYEES' OLD AGE BENEFIT SCHEME: The company contributes a percentage of workers' wages towards this government scheme, which ensures a reasonable pension on retirement.

SUBSIDIZED FOOD:

The company has extensive cafeteria facilities which serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to all employees at highly subsidized rates. This was one of the best days that will remain long last in our memories.
