Psychosocial Development by Erik Erickson


Integrity vs. Despair:
The client is in late aged adult who is in the stage of integrity vs. despair. The
people who attain ego integrity view life with sense of wholeness and derived
satisfaction from past accomplishment. They view deaths as an acceptable completion
of life, and in contrast, people who experienced despair often believes they have made
poor choices during life and wish they could do it again and live life over.
With my client, she demonstrated a sense of accomplishment and with high level
of self esteem and in who she was already self actualized for her achievement in life
that made her more mature. From her experienced she learned a lot that contribute to
person’s integrity.

Cognitive Development by Jean Piaget:


Theory Formal Operations:
People informal operations phase of cognitive theory characterized by their
rational thinking and deductive and futuristic reasoning. They also able to comprehend
the contradiction that exists in both personal and physical reality.
The patient posses a high level of maturity as how she rationalized the situation
and her experienced and how she justified it according to personal thinking and
understanding. She is open to whatever happens to her life.
