Title: APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR URINALYSIS
Abstract:
A urinalysis apparatus operates in an automated fashion to determine at least
one user characteristic from at least one measured parameter of a urine sample
that is provided directly by a user. The urinalysis apparatus includes an inlet for
receiving the urine sample and at least one sensor unit having at least one
sensor configured to measure at least one parameter from at least a portion of
the urine sample. The urinalysis aparatus also has a urine transport assembly
for transporting the urine sample from the inlet to a sensor unit during a
measurement mode, and a cleansing fluid transport assembly for disposing of
the urine sample after the measurement mode and cleansing the apparatus
during a cleanse mode. The urinalysis apparatus can also include other sensor
units and a flow meter unit.
