BARANGAY ORDINANCE ENACTED FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2011

A. Ordinance No. 03-11 Amending Barangay Ordinance No. 01-09 on the institutionalization of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) on Diversion and Intervention programs of Barangay Pico

B. Ordinance No. 04-11 Mandating junkshop owners, caretakers and any one operating related business not to entertain and purchase scrap materials, plastic, bottles, copper wires, tin cans and any kind of scrap or any materials to be sold by children with ages from 15 years old and below

C. Ordinance No. 05-11 An Ordinance providing for the Solid Waste Management of Barangay Pico and providing funds thereof

MESSAGE

In behalf of the officialdom of Barangay Pico, I wish to convey the results of the performance of our Barangay for the fiscal year 2011, especially on the implementation of government policies, plans, programs and activities for the general welfare of the constituents. On legislation, the Barangay has adopted at least 37 Resolutions which were addressed to different agencies and mostly were request of funds for Barangay projects. The Barangay has enacted also three Barangay Ordinances which are the Ordinance on the Institutionalization of the BCPC diversion and intervention programs, the Ordinance mandating junkshop owners not to entertain and purchase scrap materials from children ages 15 and below, and the amendment of the Ordinance of 1998 on the Ecological Solid Waste management of Barangay Pico. Financially, the budget of FY 2011 in the amount of P6,886,755.78 was increased for Budget year 2012 in the total amount of P7,698,910.56, thus the increase for year 2912 is P794,754.78. The said increase was mostly appropriated for programs and projects under the MOOE and 20% Barangay Development Fund. On the Peace and Order situation, at least generally, there were no excessive crimes and violations committed within the period, including other unfit fares for the minors. I wish to extend my thanks and gratitude to the Barangay officials and the community for the good support extended to the Barangay as a whole. Thank you.
