Interview Questionnaire for Top Management:

(To identify and analyze the human resource challenges of the firm as perceived by the top management)
1. What is your designation and how would you define your role in the company? 2. Shed some light on your compensation packages. 3. Are you satisfied with this package? (Yes or No) 4. Give an example of an action which only someone who is committed to the company will do. 5. How many times do you conduct performance appraisal processes a year? How is it carried out? 6. Is the report from evaluation accessible to the employees? 7. Does your company have a written down code of ethics? (Yes or No) 8. If the answer to the previous question is yes, has it ever changed throughout the years? 9. How do you incorporate the code of ethics into the employees of the company? How do you ensure that they follow the code of ethics? 10. Is there any over time policy in your organization? (Yes or No) If yes, how would you describe it? 11. What is your recruitment policy? Do you consider them as flexible? In which cases are your recruitment policies flexible if they are so? 12. How flexible is your organizational structure? Is it designed to accommodate various needs of employees of different ethical, geographical and religious origins? 13. What sort of training do you provide? What are the criteria and policies? 14. How would you describe your work place condition? What would you think will compromise it? Would you prefer any change? 15. Say for example one of your female employees is expecting. What sort of policies are there regarding maternity leaves? Are these the same for employees from all level? 16. What is your policy on sick leaves? How do you ensure that an employee does not abuse this facility? 17. Is this sick leave policy the same for employees from all level? (Yes or No)

Note: This line of questions is only for the firms which are engaged in manufacture of products. 53. How do you maintain the quality of the production process? Is there any fixed standard? 54. Suppose the production process becomes contaminated for one batch. What procedure or action do you follow or take? 55. Say for example today you get to know that one of your suppliers is involved in an illegal side business. What step will you take? 56. In the case that transportation is involved in your supply chain (only if applicable), how do you ensure that illegal activities (for example road bribes and commissions) are avoided? 57. How do you ensure that your transportation vehicle adhere to the quality control standards? 58. What do you do with your faulty product or expired inventory? 59. How do you maintain that your warehouses adhere to the quality control standards? 60. What are the contract terms for suppliers? Are they uniform for similar products? 61. How are machine quality maintained and how frequently are they checked? 62. Of the segments you outsource (only if applicable), how do you ensure that their employees are eligible and are aligned with your company policy? 63. Do you include dealers within your supply chain? (Yes or No) If yes, how is equity ensured when they are concerned and how do you check that they are behaving ethically? 64. Do you have internal and/or external inspectors to check your compliance with safety standards and government regulations? (Yes or No)

Suppose you do not like a practice that goes on in your company. What will you do about it? 6. Have you ever made a mistake in your career in this company? (Yes or No) If yes, how did your supervisor react to that mistake? Was there (or is there, following that event) any preventive mechanism in place to stop this mistake from happening? 7. What kind of pressure do you face from the supervisor regarding your targets and deadlines? 8. Does your supervisor supervise whether you are maintaining your code of ethics when you meet your targets and deadlines? (Yes or No) If yes, how so? 9.
