ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Requirements Engineering Project University of Texas at Dallas January 2009 –

Now

Designed a Synergy Distributed Meeting Scheduler (SDMS) which is to develop a customizable, decentralized
system that allows individuals or organizations to easily, efficiently, and precisely schedule meetings in
accordance with practical limitations of virtual and real-world meetings. It is a web based application and will be
accessible and conform to standard HTML Web Application practices. Analysis and define specification
requirement document including functional and none-functional requirements and implement it. The relative tool is
Microsoft SQL Server for database interactions and Mockup.

Database Project University of Texas at Dallas January 2008 – May

2008

Created an engineering school model; used a relational DBMS to implement the database; used appropriate
naming conventions for all of tables and attributes.

Performance of Computer Networks Project University of Texas at Dallas January 2008 – May
2008
1
Used a central computer to simulate, offline, the functioning of the M queues through random number generation
and number crunching; created enough parameter values for simulation; simulated the running of the queues for
several jobs.

Advanced Network Project University of Texas at Dallas August 2007 – December
2007

Simulated a network with unidirectional channels(links); built a distance-vector-type of routing protocol and a
multicast protocol on top of it; simulated it by having a UNIX process correspond to a node in the network and files
correspond to channels in the network. There are at most 10 nodes in the network. There will also be a special
node “controller” node. We need it due to the fact that we will use files to represent channels.

Algorithm of Networks Project University of Texas at Dallas August 2007 – December

2007

Created a network topology; implemented an optimization algorithm for specific problem, and experiment with it on
randomly generated examples. Represented the results of the experimental runs graphically.

Graduation Project Tianjin Urban Construction Institute January 2006 – May

2006

Designed a TJUCI Student Management System (TJUCI-SMS) which is database system to collects and
manages student information for every student enrolled at TJUCI. Employee/Administrator use system to manage
student relative information and student use it to receive relative information such as course, assignment. The
design tool is Power Builder 9.0 and Microsoft SQL Server. The system is more accurate and comprehensive to
enhance student management.

Hardware Project Tianjin Urban Construction Institute March 2004 – April

2004

Accomplished the design and test of the order computer model using hard-line controller and EDA to compile and
download to the Chip ISP1032.

Electric Piano Project Tianjin Urban Construction Institute January 2004 – February
2004

Developed an electric piano with ABEL language; completed logical circuit via synario software, ISP device and
PLCC packaged ISP1016.
