Social economic-possession

If we focus one of these dimensions, it is not good anymore. We should balance these dimensions. But a mature Christian says: we are not these things for they will not identify ourselves (e.g. our beauty fades, our fames decrease, etc.) WE COULD KNOW OURSELVES THOUGH: 1. MAN ACCORDING TO REASON Man is rational- he is gifted with intellect that made him superior than the animals and plants. Man has emotions from the heart and spells a whole lot difference from other beings in the world Man is matter. He has a body and therefore limited. He cannot be in 2 places at one time. MAN IS UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER- 3 factor make him/ her unique: Heridity- biological heritage - Transmission of heredity trait Environment- social heritage - Based on your attitude towards others/ society Personal determination- his/her decision to be or not to be Man is social/gregarious being- he needs to be with others in order for him to know what humanity is. no man is an island by John Donne. Man is historical- he is the product of the old era. He learn people before him. He is making legacies to people after his time. Man is free. He has free will( free choices/decision). The seat of freedom. 2. MAN ACCORDIN TO CHRISTIAN VIEW OLD TESTAMENT Man is created in Gods image and likeness- Genesis 1:27 Man is an embodied spirit- genesis 2:7 Soul is what God created though His image and likeness. Not the body because God created it mortally. But the soul is eternally. Because of the soul, we have dignity (a quality of being worthy). Man is basically good. Genesis 1:31

Human are mad to be good. But because of the society, we became bad. Our challenge now is to be an instrument of Gods will. Man is made a partner of God: a co-creator and steward Then, man sinned and has a fallen nature. They are drown by sins like they are in a quicksand. They need God to pull him up and out of it. Man is a loved sinner given the hope to be saved- Genesis 3:15. An enmity between the serpent( satan) and the woman (mary) whose offspring(Jesus) will crash the serpents head(sin). Genesis 3:15 is a proto gospel. It says that God loves man but hates sin. By that, He give us hope. He give us his son, Jesus, to save us. NEW TESTAMENT The fulfillment of the promise is in this testament, JESUS CHRIST Jesus crucifixion is a ransom to save humanity from the dominations of sin He became one of us (like a drop of methylane blue mixed in a basin full of water) He brought divinity back to the fallen humanity. Raised us up to become members of Gods family.
