Tank farms and underground storage facilities

The design and construction of complex tank farms and underground storages represents another key component in ILFs oil and gas competence, where over the last three decades ILF has earned a reputation as one of the leading international design and consulting firms also with respect to EPC projects. The simulation of all injection and extraction processes involved in gas storage facilities constitutes one of ILFs special fields of expertise. At times of scarce energy resources, underground storage facilities for gas and large storage tank farms for oil are of ever increasing importance. Meeting peak load demands requires special additional measures to ensure the desired availability and reliability of these facilities.

ILF has established an efficient and dynamic process engineering department with competent engineers and all necessary design tools. The integration of TECON Engineering GmbH, Vienna/Austria with more than ten years of experience in the petrochemical sector resulted an essential upgrading of ILFs scope of services for refineries and petrochemical plants. This combination has enabled ILF to successfully complete a series of increasingly complex projects and of higher importance in this field in the recent past.
