tablecloth to use at all those special
family dinners. It will serve your
loved ones for generations!
Size
Approximately 42" x 61"
Materials
Crochet cotton size 20* (400 yds per
ball): 15 balls cream #42
Size 10 steel crochet hook or size needed
to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
Spray starch
*Sample project was completed with Clarks Big Ball Art.
B345 crochet cotton.
Gauge
Each motif = approximately 4 1/2" square
before blocking
To save time, take time to check gauge.
Pattern Notes
Join rnds with a sl st unless otherwise
stated.
Join motifs in 13 rows of 9 motifs each.
Pattern Stitch
Dtr: Yo 3 times, insert hook in indicated st,
[yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 4 times.
First Motif
Rnd 1: Ch 7, join to form a ring, ch 5, tr
in ring, ch 2, *dtr in ring, ch 2, tr in ring,
ch 2 **, dc in ring, ch 2, tr in ring, ch 2,
rep from * 3 times, ending last rep at **,
join in 3rd ch of beg ch-5.
Rnd 2: Ch 5, dc in tr, ch 2, *[dc, ch 3,
dc] in dtr, ch 2, dc in next tr, ch 2 **, dc in
next dc, ch 2, dc in next tr, ch 2, rep from *
3 times, ending last rep at **, join in 3rd
ch of beg ch-5.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, [2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in next
dc] twice, *7 dc in corner ch-3 sp, dc in

Rnds 110: Rep Rnds 110 of first motif.
Joining
Rnd 11: With RS facing, attach thread
with a sl st in center shell p of corner on
working motif, *ch 2, sl st in corresponding
center shell p of corner on previous motif,
ch 2, dc in same st as next-to-last ch-2, sl st
in next dc or corner ch-5 sp on working
motif, rep from * to corner, complete cor-
ner as before, complete rnd as for Rnd 11 of
first motif, join at base of beg ch-2.
Border
Rnd 1: With RS facing, attach thread
with a sl st in joining st before any corner
motif, ch 7, *sl st between next shell picots
or in joining st between motifs, ch 7, rep
from * around, ending with ch 3, tr in base
of beg ch-7.
Rnd 2: Ch 5, dc in same st, sl st in next
ch-7 sp, rep from * around, working 1 extra
shell p in each corner sp, join in base of
first shell p, fasten off.
Weave in loose ends. Starch and block
according to manufacturers directions.
