PATH

ATMA JNANA - DIRECT KNOWLEDGE OF SELF

Discover and practice

For discovery – make mind attentive

Feel the energy of universe by getting up at 4:00 am

Face East or North ( spend 5 to 10 minutes on each of the following for making mind to
be attentive)–
- Use the eyes only – by staring at the atmosphere / environment in front
- Use the ears only – hear the least decibel sound
- Use the nose – feel the air
- Use hand, legs – walk around and touch feel by hand and leg
- Use mouth & tongue – utter words in the form of song / words from known
languages and gurgle water and feel the taste
Food – The food goes inside and becomes part of our body – partly is the mind, partly is
the body – diet control – Right quality and right quantity

An individual cannot have a path for his own; because an individual is not alone on this
earth or universe. So there cannot be any individuality. Hence path need to be
discovered taking environment in to considerations.

The considerations, rather evaluations could be done using the mind as analyzer based on
the data collected through the senses.

The mind as analyzer had to be split into three sections: 1 – Storage of data, 2 –
Interpreting the data collected and 3 – dynamic conclusions and storing the dynamic
inferences.

By this can anyone have a fixed path – No is the answer. Having discovered, the
inferences are they the truth – probably partially, so discovery needs attention by the
mind.

An ambiguous path would lead to nowhere. Then how do a person can determine his / her
path.

The decision of path cannot be decided by an individual – at least there need to be two
things 1. the environment and 2. a person to decide upon a path.

Who could be that other person – a friend, a spouse, brother, a sister, or who !!!

Whoever it may be the other need to play a role of a friend, spouse, brother, sister, etc.
depending on the circumstances.
Here circumstance need to be defined with respect to the individual or with two person.
Based on the circumstance of each discovers their own experiences and stores their own
inferences.

Path finding need to consider the inferences of the two.

So an individual needs a companion to decide on a path. How then these two can
discover. Because each one has discovered through their senses and stored the interpreted
data.

It may be observed that the stored inferences are dynamic, the data could be corrected by
the individuals to see the common goal.

So the first step of path finding is to understand the individual’s interpreted and stored
data, then understand the differences and understand the common inferred data to go
ahead with the conferred path.

Coming to the Atma Jnana – why this is required? First any individual is dependent on
others, meaning he is there for the society. Society needs are varied due to each
individual experiences and interpreted data stored by the individuals. How these data
would be useful for others? The answer cannot be answered instead to be experienced by
the other individuals. For to experience the circumstance cannot be same, so when such
circumstance would come for others to understand, only time can tell.

Till such time, one ofcourse cannot wait for consensus for the path. So an individual path
needs to be demonstrated.

Atma Jnana gives two things – 1. for demonstrating to the society and 2. other for taking
path together

Either self demonstration or combined demonstration would indeed help the society.

Taking the path of Bhramachariya or married life would ofcourse help the society. Here
all need to understand that each or combined need to define the path.

So begin your Atma Jnana and choose the PATH.

The first part of Atma Jnana is the discovery. Making the mind attentive by using the
senses. Next the desire is required for continuity. Desire is one of the part that plays a big
role in choosing a path.

Identify desires what the self indicates. One need to understand once a desire crops up,
simultaneously achieving this desire burns in the self and rate of burning is fast that
individual’s body response is slow. This is like the lightening and thunder.
The speed of light is faster than the speed of sound. In nature we hear the thunder noise
after the lightening, even though both occurs at the same time.

Similarly the desire in mind and the body response does not act at the same speed; hence
depression or anger, etc. Due to this difference of burning desire and the body response,
one is likely to lose the continuity and loss of the thought of path forward.

The mind needs a control system in order to have an effective path. This control cannot
be external, this need to be again internal within the mind. The mind as analyzer, we saw
earlier needed three things and now we see an additional feedback element is required for
to choose a path.

Let us look into the mind in sections:

1. data collection through use of senses and storage of data
2. Interpretation of data
3. Inference of data
4. Feedback to the data for choosing a path.

Atma Jnana leads to a Path. In case of absence of one section leads to a open condition,
and hence no path.

In order to make the mind to meet the above sections work completely, tuning the mind is
essential. One in the process of birth commences the above process of sections and after
birth, it looks a raw condition. Infact no.

We would have come across people telling the how their child behaves and how smart
they are. Infact the sections of the mind had commenced working. There is this external
influences, which causes corruption to the various sections of mind.

A society need to understand how this influence had made that society or family to grow.

Society or family is an external parameter was not considered earlier in the mind as
analyzer.

In order to tune up mind – considerations to be given for internal and external parameters.

Internally, everyone has some degree of instincts. Infact this instinct tells something to
safe guard from the external parameters influences.

Mind need to be tuned for interpreting the data collected through instincts; because the
instincts guards against the external influences.

Nourish – for fine tuning of mind one need to nourish the senses. The truth is you, you
means your body. Understand your brain is protected by hard skull. Eyes protected by eye
lids, ear drum is protected by ears. Tongue prote4cted by the lips and teeth. The internal
organs of a body is protected by skin and skin by hairs.
Nourishing your body provides fine tuning of your mind. People might have heard the
use of word “Dharma’ – means nourish the senses. The senses are the truth. The senses
collects the data, which is the truth.

So Atma Jnana needs this dharma. The dharma – data collection from the senses, need to
be interpreted, this interpretation is the Artha. The action is Karma, meaning after
interpretation, the mind infers and sends command to senses. Moksha is the output what
the senses need to do.

Atma Jnana has self dharma, artha, karma & moksha. This knowledge is required to be
understood by every individual for transforming to family and in turn to society.
