Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of EMC - Well Abandonment Engineer located in Covington, Louisiana. Chevron Environmental Management Company (EMC) is a key resource to domestic and international OPCOs responsible for providing technical consulting and project management services on onshore remediation, decommissioning, well P&A, facility and equipment removal projects. Ability to travel and stay overnight on offshore platforms, structures and boats. Must pass swing rope test and Helicopter Underwater Egress Training certification. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Responsible for providing technical, consulting and project management services for onshore and offshore decommissioning and remediation work. Develops procedures, prepares cost estimates, provides permitting support and prepares schedules for offshore and onshore well abandonment. Scope includes: zonal abandonment (isolate perforated zone), temporary abandonment (abandon well to surface), and permanent well abandonment through conductor severing and removal. Co-develop offshore decommissioning candidate lists, securing the necessary equipment and services to conduct offshore/onshore well abandonment operations, providing oversight to field Company Reps, monitoring well abandonment program execution, and tracking project execution metrics. Position requires frequent travel to offshore Gulf of Mexico locations by boat or helicopter. Required Qualifications: Bachelors in Engineering. Well Abandonment skills experience in planning and managing complex, multi-faceted well abandonment projects involving cementing services, wireline operations, coil tubing services, snubbing services and rig operations within

HES (Health, Environment, and Safety) Leadership Experience stewarding HES programs and processes, experience with various safety system tools (such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Behavior Based Safety Observation process (BBSO), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Contractor Safety Management, etc.), and experience in positive reinforcement of safety performance / behaviors. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Experience using Smartbox, Visio, Access Database software. Direct experience in offshore/onshore decommissioning operations along with decommissioning project management.
