READING

(20 points)

Read the text. Then complete the sentences. (5 x 2 = 10 points)

Until now, you have probably used your mobile
phone to chat with your friends, send and receive
text messages, listen to music and take
photographs. But did you know that a mobile
phone is as informative as an encyclopedia? All
you need to do is ask a question about a specific
topic and an answer is sent to you by text
message.
This new mobile phone service is called
Cellphedia. The name is a combination of cell
(mobile) phone and Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a free
online encyclopedia. People all over the world write
the information and send it to the website. Now,
with Cellphedia, you can create a personal
encyclopedia that you can take with you
everywhere.
So how does Cellphedia work? First, you must
register your mobile phone on the Cellphedia
website. Then you choose the topics that interest
you most: for example, architecture, music or
technology. When you send in a question on one
of those topics, other members who have chosen
the same topic get a text message with that
question. These questions and answers also
appear on the Cellphedia website, so all registered
users can read them. This means many people
share their knowledge with other people they dont
even know. One student says, Cellphedia is the
most amazing thing. I get answers faster than on
my computer and its easier to use than a regular
website.
