Dear Parents, As the president of EGS Board of Governors (BOG), it gives me great pleasure to establish direct contact for apprising you regarding the exceptional work being done by our community school. At EGS, we are keeping abreast of the contemporary pedagogy techniques for imparting activity based learning with integrated approach towards teaching concepts through activities which are complemented by audio visual support. English conversation periods & Students project work are integral part of knowledge assimilation and retention. Based on your feedback we have introduced new subjects in A levels - further Math and General paper for English. We put strong emphasis on co. & extra-curricular activities such as educational trips, EGS newsletter students board, participation in spelling bee and Model United Nations Conference etc. We are proud to share following achievements of our students. A' level student secured top position in Pakistan in A' level Exam '2011 O' level student secured 10 straight A* in O level Exam"2011 Class VII student secured First position in International Kangaroo Math Competition Class III student won 'Special Prize' in International ART Competition. Students won Shield & Certificates in International Genius Champ Competition Regular in-house training sessions & special training sessions / webinars for O/A levels from British Council Instructors are arranged to continually improve EGS staff teaching skills. In order to keep a check on EGS management & financial systems, active & energetic BOG meet regularly to stewarded performance objectives and charts future course of action. Recently EGS have been provided clean bill of health by Efert. independent auditors, ISO-9001 external auditors & Govt. of Sindh Literacy Dept. Having shared the achievements, I reiterate that we believe in continual improvement. This is the first time we are seeking your feedback directly, the intent is to support the principal and the school staff in developing a School Improvement Plan 2013 that reflects your views in key areas to help support student achievement and well-being. We have designed the survey to help us understand your expectations, collect your insights and address your issues. We encourage open, thorough, fact based and honest responses. Please return your response in a sealed envelope to Asim Rasheed Qureshi (BOG Member) by 10th December, 2012. Individual responses will be kept confidential and action plan will be shared with you later. We look forward to your suggestions & ideas.
