TAHREEK AUR KAARKUN

CHAPTER-1
FOUNDATIONS OF ISLAMIC MOVEMENT.
Present western civilization on which the ideological, moral, cultural, political and economic
systems are running is based on three fundamental principles.
1. SECULARISM :- God , His instructions, His worship should be confined to private life and
all other issues should be tackled on purely worldly point of view.
DRAWBACK : Only a mad person can think in this way ,that he is a
Slave to god as an individual, and the moment he joins
Another individual, he no more remains His slave.
2. NATIONALISM :- “My nation”, right or wrong .
DRAWBACK : Well wishing and love with nation is always
appreciable ,but not nationalism which regards
Nation as god which is always right.
3. DEMOCRACY :- Every nation is the master of her own and all the issues will be decided
and settled on majority vote .
DRAWBACK : When nation adopts atheism and nationalism as it’s
God and guide then their decisions will be having all
the evils expected from such misleading authorities.
THESE PRINCIPLES ARE NOT ONLY WRONG BUT ACTUALLY THE ROOT CAUSE OF
ALL THE PROBLEMS AND DIFFICULTIES WHICH NOW THE HUMANITY IS FACING
.SOLUTION LIES IN THREE HEAVENLY PRINCIPLES . VIZ;
1. SOVEREIGNITY OF ALLAH IN PLACE OF SECULARISM : - Obeying Allah not only in
personal life but in each and every aspect of life let it be governing
laws , or courts , or system of education , or economic system or
political issues , or cultural system .
2. HUMANITY IN PLACE OF NATIONALISM :- No selfish concepts on the basis of nation,
race, color or language . One can have national freedom, can
love his nation ,can administer his own nation but not at the expense
of violating others freedom and rights ,not by adopting wrong, evil
and unlawful ways, not by being selfish.
2. DEMOCRATIC CALIPHATE IN PLACE OF MODERN DEMOCRACY :-Democracy is
acceptable if it regards Allah as the only sovereign and man being
His deputy on this earth to implement His laws.

THREE POINTS OF ISLAMIC CALL(DAWAH)
1. CALL TO WORSHIP ALLAH :- Not only at individual and personal level but in all the
issues and aspects of life let it be individual or collective.
2. GET RID OF HYPOCRISY :- i.When one accepts Islam as his way of life then he should
not feel comfortable in leading his life in a system which is
against it.
ii. Should not try for a place or position in a system which
is against Islam.
iii. Should not try or take part in a struggle which aims at
changing one wrong system with another wrong system.
3. CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP :- As long as the leadership remains in the hands of those who
don’t regard Allah as their Lord , it becomes practically
impossible for a Muslim to lead an Islamic life.
DIVINE LAW OF CHANGE OF LEADERSHIP
1. Allah wishes that this world should be administered .
2. For this certain qualities , powers and characteristics are needed
3. If Muslims lack these conditions then the administration is handed over to non-Muslims.
4. But if such a Muslim jama’ah exists with moral as well as the other characteristics, qualities
and powers then Allah is neither unjust nor He wishes fasad to allow the others to administer
this world.

AIM AND THE WAY OF JAMA’AT-E-ISLAMI


1. To implement the whole system of life with all it’s aspects on the basis of obedience to Allah as
demarcated by the prophets. This system is otherwise named as DEEN-E-HAQUE ,
SOVEREIGNITY OF ALLAH OR ISLAM . The struggle for this cause is named
SHAHADAT-E-HAQUE ,IQAMAT-E-DEEN OR TAHREEK-E-ISLAMI
2. Islam is not a hierarchy of Muslims but Islam is meant for the whole mankind, so our call is
for the whole humanity. Our interest in Muslims is not because they are of same nation but
because they are considered to be the representatives of Islam and Allah has selected them as
medium to convey His message.
3. Islamic laws and principles are far superior to nation and national benefits .If there is a
discrepancy between these two then there should not be any hesitation to opt for the former.
4. DEEN does not mean a compilation of certain religious tenets and rituals but it’s synonymous
to system of life or way of life which encompasses all the aspects of human life .
5. We follow only Islam and if one feels that politics is not a part of Islam, they neither
understand Islam nor our message .
6. There is only one way to implement the system of life based on complete obedience to god, and
that is the SHARIAH which prophet (peace be upon him) brought and showed us .
7. The way to take guidance from Quran and Sunnah is not that a person should try to extract
his view and concepts from them but to should have his views and concepts in accordance with
them.

CHAPTER-2
IDEOLOGICAL BASIS OF ISLAMIC CALL(DA’WAH)
BASIC MORAL VALUES
1. Strength of will
2. Power to take decisions
3. Bravery
4. Perseverance
5. Love with objective
6. Precautions and Preventive measures
7. Intuition
8. Control on emotions ‘n’ excitations
9. Art of winning the hearts
IN ADDITION TO THIS SOME MORE GOOD QUALITIES LIKE:
1. Self-respect
2. Generosity
3. Kindness ‘n’ sympathy
4. Justice
5. Broad view
6. Truthfulness
7. Trustworthiness
8. Keeping their word
9. Balanced attitude
10. Cleanliness
IF SOME MORE COLLECTIVE CHARACTERISTICS ARE ADDED IT TURNS INTO A STRONG
COLLECTIVE POWER ……..LIKE:
1. Unanimity of objective
2. Love with the aim
3. Mutual love and sympathy
4. Selection of most suitable leader
5. Good leadership qualities in the leader
6. Sense of obedience in the organization
7. A lively atmosphere in the organization which does not allow any wrong to prosper
THESE IN SHORT ARE THE BASIC MORAL QUALITIES WHICH ARE THE SOURCE OF
MORAL POWER WHICH MAKES AN ORGANIZATION OR NATION ACHIEVE SUCCESS
IRRESPECTIVE OF THE AIM IT ADOPTS .IT MAY BE RIGHT OR WRONG .

ISLAMIC MORAL VALUES


1. Islam provides a centre or axis to above mentioned qualities which transcendence them to
absolute GOOD (KHAIR).This axis being “gaining reza-e-ilaahi”
2. It fortifies basic moral values by the concept of hereafter (akhirah)
3. By providing Strong axis and by broadening the view by the concept of hereafter it nurtures a
strong character from which only GOOD(khaer) is expected and there won’t be any risk of evil
creeping in .
DIVINE LAW ABOUT LEADERSHIP (IMAMAT)
1. If a group is endowed with both fundamental moral values and Islamic moral values and is
couples with materialistic means then it will be given possession of world leadership.
2. If it doesn’t possess Islamic values but has basic moral values and materialistic means and in
this respect superior to others then it will be given the leadership.
3. If there are many individuals who do possess Islamic moral values and they do have
materialistic means too ,but if they are not united , then in spite of being more in number they
will not be eligible for world leadership unless they turn themselves into a strong jama’ah
(khaer-e-ummah)
4. Just by coming into existence of a specific group having all the essential qualities of leadership
does not mean that they will be handed over the leadership ,but they have to struggle hard for
it and it may take pretty long period and they may face many a difficulties in this way.

PROPORTIONAL DIFFERENCE OF STRENGTH OF BASIC AND ISLAMIC MORAL VALUES


1. If the confrontation is on the basis of fundamental moral values, then whoever possesses more
materialistic means will be the winner.
2. If basic moral values are coupled with Islamic moral values then it is sufficient to have 25% of
the materialistic means for the dominance .Rather 10% of the materialistic means may prove
sufficient for the dominance if the Islamic moral values are strong and pure.
3. It’s not just a claim or a tale of miracle but it has evidence of history to prove it. This is
possible because the aim of Islamic moral values is not to get just power or dominance but it
aims at conquering hearts and this strong moral attitude makes myriads of people to
surrender without any struggle or fight .

FOUR STAGES OF ISLAMIC MORALITY


IT IS ESSENTIAL TO KEEP IN MIND THE NATURAL SEQUENCE OF ISLAMIC MORAL
SYSTEM OTHERWISE ONE IS SURE TO FACE FAILURE IN COMPLETING THIS
CURRICULUM .
1. IMAN:- This is the basis of moral system of Islam .,but it is generally believed that mere
verbal acceptance is sufficient and immediately they try to start construction of
taqwa and ehsaan,wheras it is essential to understand iman in it’s depth and breadth
and mould our lives accordingly.
2. ISLAM:- Once the foundation of iman is strengthened then the construction of level of Islam
begins. Islam is actually the practical aspect of Islam. Can be termed as embodiment
or expression of iman in prayers and worship, in relations , in behaviour, in taste
and temperament ,in utilization of abilities and talents , in efforts and struggles.
3. TAQWA:-This does not mean a specific form or way or appearance but it’s a condition which
gets created in the inner self by fear of god and sense of responsibility.
4. EHSAN:- This is the highest plane which develops by deep attachment and love with god .

CHAPTER-3
INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING DA’WAH
1. Total obedience to Allah
2. Conveying this message (da’wah ) to immediate vicinity like neighbours ,relatives etc.
3. Perseverance and patience in case of difficulties and trials.
4. While presenting Islam start with the fundamentals
5. Never give a person a dose which is beyond his endurance
6. Never stress on peripherals leaving behind the fundamentals
7. Concentrate on basic evils rather than apparent evils
8. Have a sympathetic attitude towards those who are misguided .Never feel hatred or aversion.
9. Don’t waste time in futile talks or unfruitful discussions
10. Instead of wasting time on persons who are proud and self centered ,concentrate on those who
show eagerness.
11. One should work only for the sake of Allah without caring for the consequences or results

Method of training individuals


For training individuals we don’t need hermitages .jungles or caves. The surroundings in
which we live will be our training camp .This is the way our prophet (sal) adopted and this
alone is the prophetic way. For this we shall take help of three things .
1. Da’wah and preaching:- It’s benefit is not just mere trying to rectify others and preaching
others but it will help in purifying the preacher himself as he will be
scrutinized and criticized by many a persons .One who can’t tolerate
these attacks of criticisms runs away from the field and the one who
is devoted in his work proves himself ‘n’ sublimate himself to higher
levels of righteousness.
2. Discipline :- If one is satisfied that jama’at is meant only for iqamat-e-deen then
only he can enter it’s folds ;but after entering he should follow the
discipline .
3. Open criticism:- This helps to keep the tahreek alive and active .Criticism is the right
of every member ,rather it’s his duty ., and the who is criticized is
expected to take it in a cool way .If it’s right ,accept it and rectify and
if it’s wrong then give proper explanation.

Strategy of Da’wah
1. Purification of thoughts and ideas by showing the right way of Islam
2. Search and assimilation of eager souls according to their attitude and levels
3. Purification of surroundings ,not just preaching but solving the problems of the society as well
4. Try to change the point of view of masses by democratic ways so that righteous persons can
get elected and can rectify the evils in the government .

CHAPTER-4
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES FOR TORCH-BEARERS OF TAHREEK
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

PERSONAL QUALITIES
1. First let your nafs turn Muslim and obedient to god.
2. Start your campaign with Home Front. i.e. your family and relatives .
3. Devote yourself in this dawah in such a way that you become dawah personified.

COLLECTIVE QUALITIES
1. Mutual love and sympathy
2. Team work
3. Preaching haque always till it becomes your habit
4. Utmost sense of sacrifice for others

QUALITIES FOR STRUGGLE


1. Patience
2. Sacrifice
3. Whole-hearted devotion
4. Perseverance

 The real wealth of an individual is “remembrance of Allah” (zikr-e-ilaahi).All your


struggle is wasted if your heart is devoid of Allah’s zikr.The real light and energy of the
human knowledge ,his intelligence ,his ideas and thoughts are gained just by this zikr-e-
ilaahi.
 Individually one may reach the highest pinnacle ,but if he lacks the collective qualities
mentioned above it will be of no use to tahreek and this drawback of his may be counted as
unpardonable.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Attachment with Allah: Without this tahreek cannot move forward.
2. Aim at hereafter : In each and every task glue your eyes towards Aakhirah.
3. Never get proud :Once you feel that you have attained perfection that’s the point
of your downfall .
4. Take care of Ur home-front: We generally fotget our own kiths and kens in our struggle.
5. Sincere obedience : Discipline and obedience are so important in this cause
6. Infaaque : Don’t be content on your being Muslim Let your pocket turn
Muslim too.
7. Mutual Reform : All should be sympathetic towards each other and never allow
one to fall .But this needs sincerity and tact .Following points
should be kept in mind.
 Never criticize in public
 Be sure you are criticizing with all sincerity
 Your behavior and accent should show that you are well-wisher
 Never criticize without investigating fully
 Getting angry on criticism shows you are self centered and
proud and regard yourself above criticism
 If criticism takes the form of prolonged dialogue stop it or
postpone it

8. Especially for women : Following instructions are mainly for sisters


i. Read Quran regularly and try to understand.
ii. Read hadith too
iii. Your life and your way should be in accordance with Islam
iv. Obedience and respect to parents and husband is always appreciable but if
they ask something against the dictates of Allah and Prophet (sal) just
refuse and be adamant in your stand even if you get harmed .This stand of
yours can bring about a constructive revolution in your family and
surroundings.
v. Devote your spare time in educating illiterate sisters.
vi. Educated women are expected to give a fatal blow to westernized eves
through dialogues ,speeches and pen using their knowledge and
intelligence.

CHAPTER-5
POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE QUALITIES
POSITIVE QUALITIES THAT SHOULD BE ADOPTED

INDIVIDUALLY
1. True and clear understanding of Islam
2. Strong faith in Islam
3. No duality in word and action
4. Iqamat-e-Deen as aim of life

COLLECTIVELY
1. Brotherhood and mutual love
2. Equality
3. Discipline
4. Constructive criticism

GENERAL QUALITIES
1. Strong attachment with Allah and sincerity in action
2. Thought of Aakhirah (hereafter)
3. Exemplary character
4. Patience and stead forwardness
5. Tact (hikmat)

NEGATIVE QUALITIES WHICH SHOULD BE AVOIDED

1. Proud
2. Show-off
3. Insincerity
4. Self-centeredness
5. Labile temperament
6. Narrow mindedness
7. Weak will power

ONE IMPORTANT POINT


There are two standards which one should always keep in mind.
1. IDEAL STANDARD : For which one should strive and struggle to reach it
2. MINIMUM PRACTIABLE STANDARD: Below this one should never fall .
Now there are different mentalities which adopt different attitudes regarding these
standards
 ONE MENTALITY is least bothered about the real aim and objective and flies
high in the skies of morality just for the sake of luxury of thoughts and ideas
.When it feels that jama’ah is below it’s ideal standard or it’s members are not
ideals he expresses his uneasiness .But this uneasiness does not prompt him to
become more active and strive for reaching the ideal .On the contrary he takes it
as an excuse to escape (sometimes consciously and sometimes unconsciously).
 SECOND MENTALITY does give great significance to aim and struggle .But
being imaginative and idealistic gets perplexed and spreads this disease to
others and easily gets entrapped by the first group’s ideas.
 THIRD MENTALITY has exact concept of the two standards and never gets
disheartened by the low profile of jama’ah or its members .It always steps
forward and climbs upwards to reach the ideal standard.
The third group is the “real asset “of an organization. If the first two groups are not attended to promptly
and if not tackled and corrected in time they may prove dangerous to tahreek.
