Prepositions Prepositions are short words that indicate direction (like to), time and place (in, on,

at). It shows the relationship of a noun, its modifiers, to the other words in a sentence. It is placed before a noun or pronoun and shows the relationship that exists between that noun or pronoun and some other word in the sentence (Flauta, 1 !).
