US Business Schools Rankings 2012

Note:
The statistics given in the tables below are for two year MBA programs in the USA
The class size at most schools may vary from year to year.
Median values have been taken for GMAT score and work-experience because median values are a better indicator of the
statistics than average (mean) values. For example, if the median GMAT score at Ross is 710, this means that 50% of the students
have a GMAT score above 710 and the other 50% have a GMAT score below 710. Having said that, we did not observe much of a
difference between the median and the mean values for the GMAT score and work experience at most of these schools.
Forbes hasnt released its rankings for 2012, so we have used the 2011 rankings.
Inspite of the fact that we hold The Economist in very regard, we have not used its rankings as there rankings are absolutely
bizzare. Some of the schools that figure in the top 50 in The Economist rankings are usually not considered to belong to that
league.

* The figures given in brackets for graduating salary stand for (Average annual salary, Average signing bonus, Average other

guaranteed compensation). For example, the figure (100, 28, 19) for Yale SOM indicates that $108k was the average annual salary,
$28k was the average signing bonus, and $19k was the average other guaranteed compensation.

50 Additional MBA Programs Rankings

Unlike those for the top 50 schools, the rankings for schools below the rank of 50 vary greatly from one list to another and it is quite
common that most schools which have figured in one ranking dont figure in any other rankings and vice-versa. So instead of relying on
one particular ranking, we have compiled our own list of 50 universities whose MBA programs are considered fairly good. This list
would be especially helpful for those students who dont have a good amount of work-experience or who have low GMAT scores and
are looking for programs beyond the Top 50.
