freight payment ia respect of the vessel REDESTOS which had been blocked by Citibank
N.Y. as the name REDESTOS appears on OFACs SDN list. The blocked funds -were
released on that occasion, hut as you will appreciate we are concerned that this problem will
continue to occur.

As explained at the time we are the Managets of the vessel REDESTOS with, the following characteristics:

This vessel and her Owners have no connection wlialaoe\«r with Cuba.
However, we are aware that there used to be another vessel with the name "REDESTOS"" with the following
characteristics:

Gross Tonnage: 8,953
Deadweight: 15,180 MT
Owner : Redestos Shipping Co. Ltd Cyprus
which was owned by Cuban interests, Tha vessel disapjaeared from the registers between 199% mid 1999,
indicating Uiat she was sold or changed name some five years ago. Since then tliere appeara to have been uo
vessel registered witli (lie name REDE.STOS oilier tliati tliat owned by Interscoru, HeverUi«lesB tlte name
REDESTOS and Rsdestoa Shipping Co, Ltd. continue to appear in the SDN lists available on your website

for consideration to be given to removal of the REDESTOS from OFAC's SDN list since there is no longer
any vessel with that noiuc h Cuban ownerslu'p. 1 have checked your website but enn fliid nothing to indicate
that Midi a mechanism is available. If this is not poasiblc, are you able to let me have miy suggestions as to
what steps we can take to avoid a recurrence 7
